Advice from me to you, its only one thing.

I know WF is a great place for you to come on and ask things like:

Is this a good business name?
Does my squeeze page look ok?
Should I try a dating offer or a weight loss offer?
etc.

Most of the time, there is no answer to these questions. You need to TRY it and see what happens. Try the dating offer, if it doesn't work, then try the weight loss next. You need to always take action, don't get hung up on little details. If it takes you forever just to try one thing, it's going to take you your whole life to finally succeed.

So maybe you are thinking? Well I want to give it the best shot at working, so I will play around with my squeeze page for weeks until I think its just right.

Well, just launch the page even if you aren't sure. Maybe your conversion rate will be only 5% lower than you had hoped and you can tweak it going forward. Maybe its not converting at all and you can cut your losses and save all the time because nothing will make it work, the concept was just that bad.

My whole point is, always be taking action with something, every day or you will have a difficult time succeeding.

  • Thanks brentb, as a relative newbie, it's good to be reminded of the fundamentals. I sometimes find it to easy to slip into "detail" and have remind myself to get on with it.

    Yes, taking action is the best tip around.... You could have the best laid plans but if those plans stay in the filing cabinet you are never going to succeed.

    Shut yourself in a room for 2 hours per day surrounded by only the tools you need and block everything else out.

    Within 3 months you should / could be beginning to earn a nice slice of the cake.

    Take Action - But Constructively.....

  • Now a days, we have got so many resources available to research and learn before starting any business. So, taking time and making a proper plan before taking action is a good option too. Your plan may fail but it is always better to have a plan before starting.
  • 'Take action!' should be your motto on ideas. And sometimes asking for opinions of others on various ideas is just another reason to overthink and procrastinate. It's better to put something out there and then tweak it as you go along rather than have ideas that never get acted on and always stay in some dark corner of the mind gathering dust.
  • Great post! I had to learn how to take action and just go for it whether trying to perfect everything. Trying to have everything perfect the first time is a bad habit especially I. Internet marketing.
