Marketing tips and suggestions in Launching a WP plugin

Hello everyone,

I trust all is well.

I am really hoping you can share your experience and expertise on this.

A very good friend of mine contacted me about a wp plugin he created. I tested the plugin and it's revolutionary in my opinion. It works like a charm. It is so unique.

We want to launch it here as a WSO, however our problem is we don't have that much experience when it comes to marketing. So even if the plugin is outstanding, without good marketing, I think it's useless in my point of view.

We are aware of having a very good sales copy, but are there still important things that we should know?

We highly need your tips and suggestions about this whole thing. How can we get a good feedback of the plugin?

What's the best WSO payment processor in your opinion?

    Giving it to a few people so they can provide a review is one way.
    Listing it with incentives on JVZoo, to find affiliates is another. A lot of people seem use JVZoo to launch their WSO.

    fully describe your product, offer money back guarantee, offer few review copies to senior members. if all is good, go ahead with the sales, promote your WSO in signature links and fb. good luck

      Yes, creating a membership site for this plugin is a way to go. There are membership plugins that also handle the delivery.

      Be sure to make a good FAQ page and a support page. Customer service is very important.

          I am going to be honest here, Don't put it up as a WSO just yet. Goto Wordpress.org, and find out how to register a plugin. This process includes them going over the code. It also includes being listed in Wordpress.org plugin search. Once that process is done, THEN think about releasing as a WSO.

          PS I write and sell plugins and have never run a WSO. Just having the Wordpress.org listing has been more than enough for me. But if the plugin is more IM related I might try offering it that way as well.

    The best way to promote your premium WP plugin is... WordPress.org. Make a light freeware version and upload it into the repository. I don't want to be an a$$ but WSO hasn't worked well for me.

        I would also set a launch date and make a JV video demoing your plug-in... Then recruit JV's on muncheye, perpetual launch, warriorjv, etc...
