you might need to check Movavi. which produce easily accessible, user-friendly software applications that enable video content creation and distribution in any format, on any device.

Upgrade to Powerpoint 2010 or 2013.

Both versions allow you to export as video.

Powerpoint 2013 has a free 30 day trial, then is $10 a month if you can't afford to buy it outright. Very much worth it to be able to export as video without the hassles.

I was able to convert it to video using PowerPoint 2010, however the timing on the slides are 1-2 seconds off.

Why is this?

Assuming the audio and video are correct when you preview the video in Powerpoint, I'll guess that it has something to do with the codecs installed on your PC.

To avoid hassle I just usually record the audio first then use a screen capture software to record a video of me going through the slides while I listen to my own audio recording so as to be synchronized.

One obvious benefit of this is you get to put in the proper tone and you get to concentrate more on your intonation and avoid being monotonous when you record the audio first compared to talking while navigating the screen.

You can use Powerpoint itself to export it as a video or you can use camtasia to make screenshare videos with powerpoint for example.

I use camtasia for all my powerpoint videos and I love it. It's nice and easy.

I've been using Camtasia Studio with PowerPoint and I like it a lot! It serves my needs when I create PowerPoint videos and video sales letters. Might want to consider checking it out.

Camtasia is my weapon of choice these days, dead easy to record Powerpoint slides.

However, if you're on a bit of a budget, an excellent bit of software called TubeRaider is also very easy to use and produces decent videos out of PP slides very quickly. Ideal for beginners!

Pretty sure I bought it here on Warrior but it was a while ago, might be worth a search.

Most software online I've found do not carry over the audio from the PowerPoint.
