I used to have the next shiny object syndrome like most marketers had but I relized that buying all the stuff want bring me any further it more the opposite because you get distracted with every new product.

Nowadays I just buy products I really need for my business for example when I wanted to get started with Facebook PPC I would buy a good product for it but just for it.

That means I don't buy more than once every two months a new product.

      Quite often

And ironically enough, a helluva lot more now than when I first started.

But I like supporting my friends and fellow marketers who release products...

As well as pick up a few new tips

It doesn't take long to realize that everything old is new again in the IM world. It's rare that there's something significantly different enough to make me want to spend money to learn it.

There's a whole lot you can learn for free, and a lot of marketers hold webinars that give great free content before the pitch- enough to let you know if it's something you've heard / learned before. If you are sharp, it can be enough to send you on your way to learn it for yourself (yes, some of us do enjoy learning the hard way. Without the challenge things get boring very quickly lol)

So, in short, I haven't spent money on an IM product since last year I believe. Haven't seen the need.

When I started IM and found Clickbank I went dang near broke trying to learn stuff.

When I first found WF and found out the courses were dirt cheap...
I went Ape S$%t on buying a bunch of products.

When I found JVZOO and saw the quality I went Ballistic on buying stuff.

But, now that I am seasoned. I buy alot less. I now only buy if it is going to help me get to the next step or if I am lacking on something.

Most products are just about the basics, with clever ways to do them.

So I focus on getting great at the basics.

I buy things from time to time depending on who the seller is and if I think I will get some value from it.
