In your view, what makes PLR high quality?

I have a question, what makes good quality PLR? I keep seeing the forum talking about this and thought I would give it a go... but I want to get consensus from buyers before looking into this opportunity.

This is my guess:
- Good English language skills
- Focused, niche content
- Bonuses and graphics match the product
- Thoroughly researched information
- Great sales pages

How long does it have to be? Are there any other suggestions you would make to someone wanting to create strictly high-quality PLR?

Thanks so much!

If it's text based PLR content (e.g. PLR Articles, eBooks etc.) then high quality PLR content is content that is:
    -well written and,
    -informative and/or enjoyable to read.

You're correct. Having those things you mentioned is an indicator that it is a High Quality PLR product. In my opinion a better "option" for high quality would be one that it includes everything from start to finish: From squeeze page with a free Opt-in Report, to email followup sequence for subscribers, to sales page, etc.

    Hope this helps!

In a word, the content needs to be "legitimate".

Clients have had me rewrite a ton of PLR articles over the years, and most of them are full of fluff, instead of real facts. They're also really redundant. In alot of them, it's blatantly obvious that the writer is simply trying to pad his word count without actually doing any work.

If you're willing to put in the time needed to research, craft something compelling, and proofread, your PLR will definitely stand out from the pack!

  • This may not relate to quality, but I find value in PLR when the distribution is limited. As in, only a limited number of PLR licenses are offered for a particular product.

Well written factually correct content of more than 400 words that makes sense is always a good start :-)

In addition to the things that you mentioned, the content needs to be well-researched and relevant. I've seen a lot of poor quality PLR that seems to be recycled fluff from years ago.

For an information product it should be up to date and actually adding value to the reader.

It's fairly easy evaluate PLR, if you learned something from the product, then it's better than 90% of the PLR out there.

A bit of an indirect angle on this but the main thing that makes PLR content quality is knowing how to use it.

Of course the pack has to be well written and it has to answer the top questions in the niche.

If you know how to use PLR you can make lots of money!

The key is knowing how to make it your own.

I think the original poster has the right idea. The content needs to be well-written and compelling, and of course it has to be able to reach the intended audience regardless of native language.

I buy a lot of PLR for research mainly and I recently unsubscribed from a well known PLR creators list because the crap they are producing had no actionable content.

Content like that can be good as a teaser for getting interest in a product that sells off the back end, but these guys had questionable content in the main report that was meant to be sold as well.

If you're going to produce teaser content as part of a funnel (which is not a bad thing to have in your package), then make sure that what you have to sell on the back end is actionable.

Step by step stuff, with a clearly defined path to an outcome is always good, as is having all the pieces that make it easy to modify little and publish fast.

The packages I see as having high value are the ones that lead to the end user (not the PLR package buyer) to real results from what is being taught.

I agree with what everyone has stated above. Once you have the facts... accurate ones that is, then you can add your own "voice" to the article, add value, a call to action, etc.
