Lead Magnet Upsell/OTO
I'm using a free lead magnet via Facebook to collect leads and I'm wondering if offering a paid upsell or OTO on the Thank You page would be a smart move.
On the one hand, you'd have the ability to break even from the ad cost and perhaps even make a profit.
On the other hand, it could perhaps be too abrupt to go from offering a free report to trying to sell them a product. Especially since it's so early in the "relationship" since they haven't had a chance to go through your report yet and have no idea whether they should know, like and trust you. I'm also worried if they get turned off from the upsell sales pitch that they won't actually read the report.
Anybody have any experience with this one way or the other? Would my upsell be better off as an offer that is emailed via autoresponder a few days later?
I'd appreciate any feedback.
