Plan for building my list... Help me out

(Think I put my last thread in the wrong section, sorry)

So I'm just sorting out my plan of action for building my list, im aiming it at the make money on ebay niche. This is how I plan to implement it but Im not sure if Im sending my list too many emails before I send them a product to buy?

Im going to be giving sending traffic to a squeeze page which will have a video on and one users sign up they will get my free report (jammed with quality content).

Then I'm going to send them emails (4 in the first week then slightly less the next weeks). The first 3/4 emails will develop on the information I gave in the free report but will give product ideas for them to sell for themselves on eBay etc. In emails 5/6 I will tell them about my full guide which they can purchase and how it will benefit them etc. Emails 7/8 will give more product ideas and in email 9 I will tell them about a brilliant product that I personally use to source new products (im an affiliate for it)

These are the tools I've worked out im going to need (any recommendations of better products to use would be great!)

Optimise press (£60)
Hosting and Domain for a year (£60)
Voice Over for my squeeze video (£25)
Ebook Cover design (£10)
Get Response (£11 a month)
Digital Product Delivery aka DPD (£7 a month)
FB lead targeter (£30)
Hero Caster Video Player (£17)
Amazon S3 For Video Hosting

Thanks alot!

    Halfsaint,

Good for you for thinking this out and fleshing out the details, you get a pat on the back for that.

If someone raises their hand in the crowd and shows interest, if they gave their email for your free report, then, in my opinion, you need to IMMEDIATELY convert as many as you can into buyers. Why wait?

Also, did I miss the amount spent on driving traffic to your squeeze page?

It is the hardest part and often the most expensive part, customer acquisition, so I ask...

What is the lifetime value of your customer and what is your break even point and how many months can you go before you need to convert and at what rate and amount? These are MAJOR details I'm not seeing.

But, overall, you seem to have a plan in mind.

That's great you seem to have all the tools needed, and a plan of action to follow.

About your question about selling products to your list, i would suggest to do this immediately. Make sure the free report you give way presells the offer you're promoting in the backend. That's the strategy that worked best for me. If you wait with promoting you lose conversions, atleast that's my experience...

Keep us posted, might be a good example for people who want to start building their lists.

    Good luck!
    Jens

Sounds like you have got everything sorted out.

I agree though - sell sooner, or at least start the warm up process in the first couple of emails.

As for the tools - I use OptimizePress and it is superb. I am not sure how anyone can live without, I know I can't - I also use DPD, which is another great service that I recommend to everyone.

It looks like you have a reasonable list there. I use GetResponse myself, and having used several other services free a paid, I think their customer service and features are phenomenal.

Unfortunately I haven't yet researched U.K. web hosts, but I can back both iPage and BlueHost as I've used them both satisfactorily myself. BlueHost has slightly better customer service, but I vastly prefer iPage's control panel to the traditional cPanel that BlueHost has. Everything seems to take an extra click to get where I want to go.

As for themes I haven't tried Optimise press, it looks like it could be a good one, and I haven't really found one that I really like without alteration yet. Let me know how that goesJ

For video hosting, you might just consider using youtube and embedding them on your site, you'll get extra SEO and traffic that way. If you do, The Wordpress plugin Youtube Lyte WordPress › WP YouTube Lyte « WordPress Plugins will really speed up your page loading times.

As for voiceover and ebook cover design, Fiverr might be a good place to look for that sort of thing.

As far as other useful tools, I really like the WPSocial plugins, (I'm not an affiliate... 'yet' !) I've got the developers bundle and I've been nothing but happy with them. Their theme isn't bad, but it's not a favorite either. W hen you combine their SEO Booster Pro with Yoast's SEO plugin (Free) you've got a killer combination. Depending on your site, the other plugins they offer are great too!

And now for a shameless plug

Since you're planning on getting hosting, and seem interested in Getresponse, I have a free gift package that I'm putting together at Best Value Web Hosts as an incentive for people to buy through my affiliate links. There are a ton of hosting companies, and also some for other IM services one of which happens to be GetResponse.

Since this is the Warrior Forum, I would be happy to throw in a few extra goodies on top of what I'm offering on my site in addition to the gift pack if you're interested.

    Hope that helps

    Hi,

As soon as you add your first lead into your list YOU MUST start sending them
    emails.

Don't worry if it's just 1 single subscriber start getting used to sending out
emails that offer some kind of tip, thought, strategy mixed in with a recommendation
that can help your new subscribers accomplish something they need help with.

      Thanks for your response!

I'll be investing £300 in total to get my squeeze set up and launch my product on Clickbank and im hoping to sell my product for £21/$35

So I need to sell 15 to break even, however this only includes £60 for Facebook ads which I understand is not alot but if I was getting clicks for 40p each that would get me 150 clicks and if 60% of them opted in that 90 subscribers.

Thanks for the response, Im definitely going to offer my subs my ebook as soon as they sign up!

As for DPD does the PDF stamping feature work well? Do customers get the file directly to there email address? do you have to host the file or do they?

I'll definatley check those plugins out! Thinking im going to use TSO host for my hosting, they are cheap and offer amazing support and are based in London so seems like a no brainer.
