Can you send a customer a reocurring paypal payment link?

Warriors:

If you wanted to email a reoccuring monthly payment link (without sending them to a specific page so they can pay through the paypal button) and send them an payment request.......can this be done? I'd rather not drive traffic to a website and would much rather just send them a paypal email.

Can this be done?

Thanks guys/gals,

    What!

Well...we know where you've been hanging out at...and it ain't been here.

    Chris -

Sorry for the distration but I couldn't resist.

Paypal does have a reoccurring payment module under subscription setup. It's been a while since I've done that so maybe someone else here could tell you how to do that.

I know they have this....but I don't see this as an option if you want to send an email requesting a payment for the subscription. The requesting payment option is only good for a one time payment amount....NOT a subscription.

      Thoughts?

    Hi Chris

Perhaps I'm barking up the wrong tree here, but it seems to me that you could e-mail them a link to a site where you either have a PayPal subscription button or where you put some PHP code that redirects them to PayPal with the required subscription data already embedded. Would that work?

Debra - good comeback! I think "The Founding Of The Lost" is a little lost themselves and arrived at the wrong forum!

Yes....if you look at my original post. I'm not wanting to send a link to someone thats takes them to a specific website. I'm hoping that I can just send an email link. The reason I don't want to send them to a link....as I don't want to pretty another site up....to make everything polished. That is for down the road...not for the purposes of right now.

Maybe have an autoresponder with a link that redirects to the paypal payment page.

This is an interesting topic. I'm going to ask a couple of programmers that I talk to tomorrow.

        In any case...I'm following...

    Chris, can you clarify something?

Are you wanting to send a link in an email for someone to create a PayPal subscription or are you wanting something you can send out on a monthly basis for payments?

I ask because I'm not entirely sure exactly what your trying to do and it seems like you want a way to bill customers every month through email. If that is the case you only need to have the customer go to the PayPal link once. After that the subscription automatically deducts the payment from the customers account without them having to do anything.

If you are just wanting an email link instead of a PayPal button to take the initial payment and subscription set up I do have a post on here from a while back where I posted the html code to create a PayPal subscription text link.
