When Starting out with Affiliate Marketing

It's easy to get distracted with lots of "noise". I'm not against starting more than one project, but be aware that it is extremely common for people to start things and never develop them fully. Realize that much of your success will come from your own creativity and effort, and there is not a magic pill as many may want you to believe. There are some great tools and shortcuts, and you have to learn about them over a period of time.

I would go with start up multiple websites/blogs and see what works out of those? And then discarding the failure ones and put all the effort on the succeeding ones.

Personally I would stick to one idea if possible...I remember when I was first starting out I jumped around using so many different methods...It wasn't until I stuck to just making and ranking Youtube videos and nothing else that I started seeing results...It took me a while to learn but the "process" of everything really opened up my mind to marketing, competition, branding, squeeze pages etc...The key was I said to myself "OI am sticking to this one method until I see results"...At first it was just a few views here and there, then subscribers, then leads and eventually sales...Patience is key!

My thoughts, if you are just a beginner I would start small. I would just put up one site, focus on one course or idea then slowly develop it until I achieve success. But of course this is easier said than done. There are also times that no matter how hard you try, you do not seem to achieve your goals. If this is the case you may need to re-evaluate everything and perhaps go through related blogs and community to ask for help/feedback. This is what I have done and it works for me. I think everything will work for everyone provided that they really focus on only one thing at a time.

Now with regards to multiple websites, you can still do this in time if you are used to the process. I would also suggest you find a working process for you before you even go and make a lot of websites at a time.

I would start with one idea and website and see how that goes for a few months (at least 3 months). Then you can decide whether it would be a good idea to build another site or focus on your current site.

I wouldn't be Jack of all trades because if you spread yourself to thin you wont have to much success with your sites. It's better to build one make it successful and move on to the next one!

That's good advice.
Concentrate on one market niche and a few keyword phrases. Build a website and try to drive traffic to the site. If you start making sales stick with it and drive more traffic. It may take 3 months before you see results from the search engines.

Multiple =Disaster

Start out with one vision, you'll reach there faster. The only factor that makes your vision in to di-vision is multi tasking.

My train of thought has always been multiple sites = multiple streams of traffic = multiple streams of income.

If your just doing this part time and the money is not necessary, than yes one site would be a good route to go. At the very least to learn the ropes and go through the trial and error.

But as others have mentioned, you have to be careful. It's way to easy to have multiple projects started and none of them getting finished. unfinished projects don't make you any money.

If you plan on living off the income, or it will be your sole income, it's not wise to rely on just one site. I've learned that one the hard way.

Same goes for traffic, it's unwise to rely on one traffic source, like search engines. Things can change over night and everything could be gone. Learn that one the hard way as well

Big thing is to get things finished and promoted. Where most people fail and then you see them on the forums complaining they haven't made any money, even though they've been doing it for years.
