Looking for a solution to send commission payments to my affiliate members

I'm in the process of creating a membership website. I'm including an Affiliate Program. My members will earn 75% of the monthly payment for each of the people that they refer.

I'm using 2checkout for my payment processor to accept payments. The problem is that there is no way to send monthly commission payments from 2 checkout to my affiliates. Do any of you guys have any suggestions of an Internet Marketing friendly company that I could use to send my members their monthly affiliate commissions (other than PayPal - which I have no interest in using)?

Thanks in advance!

"Other than PayPal" is a kind of huge thing to throw out as a parenthetical afterthought, when discussing a subject like this, Roger. PayPal will probably be how most (maybe even "almost all") potential affiliates will want and expect to be paid. Not using it may dramatically reduce the number of affiliates you can find.

However, another suggestion for you would be ClickBank: they certainly retail membership deals with 75% commissions, and that's an attractive proposition for potential affiliates, who can rely on payment reliability without being dependent on the vendor for payment (also a huge issue to serious, pro-affiliates - just the ones you most want, perhaps?).

I would think an affiliate program like ClickBank, JvZoo, Clicksure, or others would handle it quite well for you. I know there are other solutions out there, but those are the 3 that come to mind the quickest. I am not sure how they do or do not work with PayPal.

I use JVZoo and it handles everything for me automatically, plus I get paid via PayPal right away. I am so sold on JVZoo, I could never imagine using any other source.

There is always an online checking account...

People have to inherently trust you to go that route though. The above posters give much better suggestions.

Thank you guys for the quick responses!

I currently use JVZoo as well for one of my websites where I sell software. I'm not looking for a way to receive payments. I already have 2 checkout set up to do that. This is going to me a membership site where members pay a reoccurring monthly membership fee. I need a solution to pay my members their monthly commissions for the people that they refer. So if they refer a member who joins at the $100/month level, I will be paying them $75 every month that that person is still active.

I don't want to use PayPal because I have seen it way to often where they will without notice, freeze someone's account. Especially when it starts dealing with larger amounts of money than normal. I've been in an affiliate program where this has happened. I've even had it happen to myself before. Back when the Nintendo Wii's first came out, I went and stood in line and bought a bunch of them to resell. I ended up selling about $3000 worth in a day and PayPal froze my account. I had to wait 6 months before they would release it to me. I called and argued with them every day for a week with no luck. Their reason for freezing it was to protect against potential fraud, because I had such a large volume of money compared to what I normally did in such a short amount of time. They had me send them copies of my receipts, light bill, driver's license and shipping receipts. Even with all that, they still wouldn't unfreeze my account.

I would hate to have $10,000 in commissions in my account and have PayPal slap a freeze on it. That would be a nightmare. I don't trust them, so that's why I would rather avoid using them. So far I haven't had a problem using them with JVZoo, but the sale amounts haven't been that large and I withdraw the money before the balance ever gets too high.

So anyways, I'm looking for another solution to send my affiliates their reoccurring commission payments each month.

Don't be so judgemental on Paypal
Did you have a business account at the time?

There are plenty of other ways to pay your affiliates ofcourse, but the main question then is, will your affiliates promote your product if you don't offer paypal as a payment method.

Ofcourse you could also use clickbank, but then you can't use 2checkout as clickbank will handle the payments for you and pay your affiliates too.

All i can suggest is to think twice about Paypal if you want a lot of affiliates to promote your product.

I'm not selling products. I'm selling a subscription for access to my website which provides services and internet marketing training to my members. My members. Similar to many mlm businesses (Empower Network,MLSP, ILN, etc.), but obviously on much smaller scale.

I already have an affiliate system in place. It's one of the wordpress plugins that comes up in your search: magic affiliate. I'm just looking for an alternative way to send money, other than PayPal. I know many people are high on PayPal. I will not bet the future of my business on them. I've been a full-time Internet Marketer going on 5 years now. I've been in this game a long time and I've seen people lose their businesses because of PayPal. They can freeze or close your account at any time and there's little you can do about it. I've talked with a guy that was running a large scale ebay business that got his account frozen for 180 days with over $30,000 dollars in it. His products were already shipped and he had no way to pay his supplier's invoices. He was forced out of business because of PayPal. Just search Google and you will see many PayPal horror stories.

Like I mentioned before, I had my account frozen and it was a PayPal business account. I plan on scaling my business pretty large and I need to find a safer option for sending money.

Thank you guys very much for your input so far. I really do appreciate it.

Then, in your case I would definitely go the online checking account route.

Set up each of your affiliates as a vendor, and cut them a monthly check out of it.

I run a couple of "real" businesses, and that exact system serves me well.

The only hitch might be if your affiliates are international, I don't know how smoothly a system like that would work. Maybe just fine, but I don't know.

Thanks Jack. Any recommendations for online banks?

I had been looking at a few that had ewallet solutions where I could transfer money from ewallet to ewallet from free - 25 cents, but for someone to transfer money to their bank account, it was a little pricey. The cheapest I've come across so far is $5 to do an ACH withdrawal.

My bank (it is a local chain) just mails a check for any recipients that aren't big enough to have a lot of people sending them payments (like utilities or credit cards). Once it has been cashed, they drop a scan of both sides into my online register, and it is preserved there forever.

I wouldn't worry too much about going all high tech on this. I think most people are much more concerned about when and how much they will be paid, rather than whether it is electronic or not.

Having said that, there may be options to do that. I know my bank offers something called popmoney that I haven't even considered because the system I have serves me so well.

I would walk in to a few local banks and ask what they offer. You would probably be surprised by how eager they will be to work with you.

    I should clarify....

When I said "online checking" - I didn't mean to imply I use an online-only bank.

It is a regular bank that offers online checking. And it works just fine for me.

I log in, go to billpay, enter the amount I want to send to each vendor (all listed on one page), hit submit and poof. It is done.
