How to protect our sites

I have faced that many times some unscrupulous sites copy 100% of my contents - words to words - even including exact titles & images. Obviously they are taking help of some auto soft-wares.

Is there any way to make difficult copying of the contents by such unscrupulous people?

Google "No copy and paste script"

Add that to the head tags on your page and Wola!

Problem is... this will piss your users off to no end. Choice is yours

They will do this regardless of the script in place if they are using scrapper software and if you have a feed (which you probably do)

The trick is to ensure your article is indexed first.

Usually (unless it is copied by a very popular site) you will rank and anyone who steals your content won't rank as high because you will have the "original" article.

For the most part I wouldn't worry about it. These sites generally won't rank well and if they do it won't last long. I personally think it would be a waste of time to spend any energy worrying about it. You can spend that time and energy elsewhere on more productive activities.

If someone is copying your articles then the site with the lower page rank doesn't rank for the article since Google doesn't present duplicate listings for the same query( in most cases). Other than that you can go around filing DMCA notices to those who copy stuff. Generally Google Panda would take care of all such sites.

People will always find a way to copy your content regardless of a script being used or not. I think that your best course of action is to file a DMCA notice with the person's hosting provider.

Will informing the hosting service provider of the site which is copying be of any help?

You can also use Google+ Authorship that will show your profile pic with your site in search engine result page. This method is really help to fight duplicate content at some extent.
