Building a 100 websites!

Dear warriors,

I would like to build a 100 websites but i would like to have a little info regarding some points i am thinking about.
The websites will be build with all different kind of content which have relevant keywords that are not only not so hard to rank for but has a good search results on a monthly basis. Those keywords will have good subcategory keywords which again themselves would have a good amount of searches per month. Finally once everything is done monetizing those websites with adsense/clickbank/affiliate marketing...

First i have no exp. with developing websites so i will be doing things with wix.com. If you think this is bad please tell me why.

Second, lets say that i want to hire a freelancer from one of those websites like odesk, freelancer, elance. What would it cost me? I will be delivering the content.

Third, are there hosting companies which gives an unlimited domain hosting for one fix cheap price? A place where i can buy 100 domain names for a cheap price?

Lastly, I have some doubts on the type of websites i should build.
Blogs with unique articles?

Anyway, although i like the idea i would like to know if you think this is worth it or not? Should i go instead for those pre-build websites (turnkey websites) and not putting all the effort doing it myself?

If you are just getting started, I would try to persuade you to do a good job on fewer than 5 websites. You need to learn what you are doing first. The problem you'll run into is you will learn as you go and realize there are techniques you want to apply to all of them. So spend a few months perfecting your ideas before rolling out more than a few sites.

Definitely start with just a few sites especially until you get a feel for how things work. You need to work out a system for managing your portfolio.

On a shared hosting account don't add more than 25 sites per account or you will soon have a clear understanding why unlimited doesn't mean on the internet what it means in the dictionary.

You can expect to pay from $10 to $25 to set up a WordPress site, and you can negotiate for ongoing site management.

I would go to Domain Names | Search, Registration, SSL Certificates, Web Hosting, Website Builder | Name.com to purchase your domain names. They will give you a discount if you have more than 50 names registered through them. Just under $10 each last time I looked.

I've never even looked at wix, I don't think too many people here have a favorable opinion of them.

That sounds to me like a way to build a business that's dependent on Google for traffic - one of the top priorities to avoid, in my opinion. But it's kind of difficult for me to relate at all to someone wanting to build 100 websites, so I'll leave it there, at least for now.

I think the question is how much money do you have to properly build these sites out. Even with the very very very small sum of $50 a site that is too low for any real SEO and would come out to $5000. If you wanted even sub par SEO you will be looking at $10k or more for a month's worth of work.

Content for a 100 sites is also another endeavor in itself. Writing enough content yourself would be a real big undertaking and the $1 a 100 word content really isn't going to cut it. So, just 2 articles each site at the rock bottom price of $10 would add another $1,000 into the equation and that is far too little content to do anything worthwhile.

The type of questions you're asking suggests you're new to Internet marketing and web site development and monetization.

Don't even begin with 5 sites. Start your career with just one. Learn what you're doing before you scale up. Right now you're suggesting you scale without a clue as to what it takes to make money online.

Advertising revenue models have their place but they typically require lots of traffic to be profitable. Usually new site owners struggle to figure out how to get traffic. So in all probability, you're not going to make much on advertising.

I would suggest you focus on one site, in a not-too-competitive niche, and create (or have created) several products that you can sell.

Sorry to be so negative sounding . . . I'm just trying to add a dose of reality to your plan. It is not based on sound fundamentals or practical reality.

      Good luck to you,

      Steve

You have the wrong approach it is much easier to build 1 site and get it to more than $1.00 a day than build several sites trying to balance each to make a $1.00.

I'm taking a guess you are very new to Internet Marketing, take a look around here and try to figure out what is going on. Don't waste your time buying WSO's, SEO, 100 domains, and out sourcing everything.

Look into Word press, Hosting company's and domain company's just don't jump into any thing anybody is handing to you. Use the search function in this forum a lot of great advice is in here. Also a lot of great posters responded in this thread.

Pick one good domain and save yourself a lot of headaches. Than find a good hosting company and build 1 site in a niche you want to spend time working in. I would recommend learn as you go. Figure out where your first few sales are coming from, so you can learn to increase those numbers. Good Luck !!!

    1. Buy one website from here, or from numerous other website brokers. Make sure the earnings are more than $100 per month. - ~$800-$1000
    2. Make sure the earnings are verified
    3. Get 20 new articles - ~$120
    4. Pay to get a above average SEO - $XXX per month

    Profit!

Understand how the system works - priceless.

Building 100 websites will take a fortune of time I guess. But it can be a good practice to learn the basics. Anyway you should think of automating your activities especially in updating those websites. So start with getting together the system. Make a research, find all necessary tools and services you need, figure out your budget. Start building your network. I guess you will find out if this will work on the way.

I would recommend choosing one niche and playing around with it.

Build 1 website for 1 client.
      - Use HTML/CSS template.
      - Charge $X setup and design fee.

Charge $24.95 per month Hosting and Maintenance.
      - About $0.83 per day.

      OR
Charge $29.95 per month Hosting and Maintenance.
      - About $1.00 per day.

      OR
Charge $37.95 per month Hosting and Maintenance.
      - About $1.27 per day.

      GoTo #TOP

      Notes:
      - Observe licensing.
      - Initially, do all of the work yourself.
      - Use a reseller account. Do Not put client domains in an unlimited-domain account!

        Start with one site.

Build it out. Start making money from it.If its got potential (increasing revenues, increasing visitor numbers etc) keep at it. If not start a second one, take that as far as you can. Then just keep going.....

There are lots of people making more than $100 a day from one or two website and I think thats the way to go

100 websites is a lot of work and time. If you're focused on doing that, good luck. I have a couple of websites and it's very hard to manage. Nothing is impossible so I won't say it can't be done, especially with some help and money to spend. If money is not a problem, I say go for it!

In regards to hosting, I recommend Stablehost. I've been with them for a long time and haven't run into any serious problems. Customer service always responds in under 24 hours.

There are so many ways to approach what type of website you want to build. Blogs are easier in my opinion. Have you thought about doing celebrity blogs? There are thousands of celebrities in the world, so you won't run out of material to write about.

I suggest hiring content writers but if you don't want to do that then you can try WP Robot. WordPress Autoblogging with WP Robot - Premium WP Autoposting Plugin

Since you have no experience in building websites, I suggest getting wordpress and using one theme for all of your websites at first. One theme that's extremely versatile and will enable you to change appearance with ease. There are plenty of themes that can do this. Go to themeforest.net... That site is awesome.

Just a thought that popped in my head. You can create a network of sites using one domain. The main domain can link to the subdomains. All of them can talk about a different celebrity. What I notice a lot on celebrity sites are pic galleries and forums. You can set that up on each sub domain. That way you don't have to buy 100 separate domains but just one and then create 99 subdomains. I would make sure that you buy a hosting plan that has unlimited bandwidth, subdomains, and space.

The limit for adsense is 500 sites, so you can set up adsense on each site. You can also sign up with an cpa network like Peerfly. You can also create a product and advertise it on your websites. If you do go down the celebrity route, you can sign up with amazon affiliates and promote albums, movies, anything that is related to that celebrity.

Hope this helps. I wish you tons of good luck!

If you want to build 100 websites, the best idea is probably to build 100 discussion forums. This way your members will add the content for you. Google hates websites that are just sitting there and never get updated.

Since you are new, why don't you just start one website. It's less risky and you spend more time on it meaning you can make it work to your advantage.
The costs are quite low to begin with and the content can be made easily.
I do not recommend you use Wix. Not that it's not good but if you are looking to making your mark in IM, you will have to use your own stuff like Wordpress, self hosting etc.

I haven't hear about wix.com and I guess this is the wrong platform to go with.

My recommendation is learn Wordpress, take some time and learn around youtube video...once you get a hand, you will be able to set a 1 website from scratch within 20-30min

each web designer has a different prices, so probably will cost you between $50-$200, if 100 website than between $500 - $2000

Your best bet is to learn the creation and maintenance process by building the first 4 or so sites up manually, then create a schedule for creating and managing the other 96. Make sure you use low SEO comp keywords, and unique content per each site. You should definitely use WP as a platform, as you can add gadgets that do some automatic SEO, content creation (e.g., curation plugins), traffic building and social functions for you. Play around with themes and plugins to find out what works best for you.

Then order 8 new domains and/or hosting set ups per month, to control the cost of acquiring 96 domains over a year (at $8 a name, and $1/mo for a real cheap host, it should cost a manageable $160/mo to buy, then renew each set of 8 sites). Meaning (adding the cost of the other 4), you'll be breaking even if you earn about $168 a month off the 100 sites. Each site has to make about $1.68 in order to be "earning its keep." If it doesn't, dump it or sell it, and work with the winners.

Getting 100 websites up and running and promoting them and continuing to add content is a very big job. I suggest that you break it down into smaller portions and tackle that and when you have some getting traffic, add some more. Doing something really big very poorly isn't as effective as doing something small really well.

To echo what other's have said, I'd suggest you start with a small batch of between 1 and 5 sites so that you can get a feel for how its all done.

Trying to aim for 100 sites right out the gate with limited experience sounds like a good way to shoot yourself in the foot before the race even starts.

An ambitious project without a doubt and something that was very common a few years back. It really isn't about quantity these days, it's quality in my opinion. Focusing on one site and doing it well. Google tells us its all about authority, how can you be an authority with 100 sites? I also read that Google doesn't like you to be an expert in more than one area when it comes to authorship. I got that from a very reliable source, start small. If you want to try 100 sites why not build them on free properties? but don't throw money down the drain.
