Do those WP themes convert?

Hi,

Q1) I know & I have heard it many times in WF that simple themes convert well. But again these days I see many people including some IMers buy those complex yet fancy looking WP themes and use them.

Q2) I know sales pages are long. But some sales pages are really too long and while reading them you have to literally search for the most important points.. You also skip most of the contents.... who will sit and read that 1000 mile long sales page.

So please let me ask again, do those themes convert? Just trying to know your views.

    It's typically not the theme that converts prospects into buyers - it's the sales copy and the compelling offer.

    The length of the sales page has nothing to do with the theme you've chosen. Most themes allow as much or as little narrative as the owner wants to put on the page.

    Themes should be professional looking, easy to navigate, pleasing to the eye, and functional for what the owner needs to do. Beyond that, whether a theme is fancy or free, it matters not.

    Q1A) I don't think that IM'ers are using complex fancy themes on purpose they are using them because the Website design software is more advanced and looks nicer and easier to use. I use Optimize Press 2 which makes sites look great.

    Q2A) It's not about sales pages being long or short, it's about what is converting. You have to split test everything to see what works. If a long page works, then go with it or if a short page works better than change it.
