What can I expect from a telemarketer?

INTERNET MARKETING

I'm looking to hire a telemarketer but I'm not 100% sure what my expectations can realistically be. Would asking for 2 sales a day for a 12.95/mo service be too much? Or should I not use them for sales at all and just have them generate leads to call me where I do the selling?

How good are you in selling on the phone? A good tellemarketer is worth their weight in gold if they can really sell. Most people hang up before the pitch is even said. Where are you getting this person from? An agency, the web? Check references that will tell you how much they can sell in a day.

I'll be hiring them through elance. But yeah I know they will probably be hung up on but if they can make at least a couple sales they should pay for thereself right?

A good telemarketer can get 10% so if you give them 100 calls hopefully they can get 3-4 sales.
