Should I Sell My Unbranded Product?

I've made a product, which is just a 32 page ebook about natural allergy treatments. I already have 4 people willingly to leave a 5 star review on Amazon for it, and another IMer, a friend, who is offering me $250 for it. This is a new way to make money for me, never did i think to create products for other people. Should i sell my product? It literally only took me about 2 days to create, with a total of around 20 hours of work put into it. It's mostly just pure content and someone is willingly to pay $250 for it! What do you guys thinks?

I guess it depends on your end purpose. Do you want to make $250 right now, or do you want to leverage it into building a list of allergy sufferers that you could market other products to?

Are you planning to build a business around allergies? If so, then selling it would be a mistake. If it is just a "one-off" effort, then I'd consider selling it.

20 hours of work for $250. Do you think your time and talent is worth more than $12.50 per hour?

Answer that question, and that should make your decision a little easier.

I haven't done any research for that particular niche, but it seems like you would have a pretty large audience you could sell your ebook to online.

If it were me, I'd invest in some decent sales copy, put up a sales page and start driving traffic to it with some Facebook PPC and test the conversions.

Chances are you'd make WAY more than $250 selling that ebook at a $17-$27 price point.

If it flops, or you just can't seem to get it to convert after split-testing and tweaking, then you could always sell the rights to it to someone else.

Forgot to mention this in my last post...but another benefit of selling the ebook yourself is that you would also be building your own email list of BUYERS.

That's extremely powerful since now you can promote and sell other related offers to them over time.
