I've seen many times newbie posting this question and decided to open a no-bs thread about it.

To my humble opinion, the no #1 method for traffic doesn't exist, at least not a generic one. It all depends on your niche. For example, if you have an event site, you'll want to post to event-related sites and directories. But the bottom line is; if you have high quality content with a viral potential, visitors will come. On the other hand, if you have poorly rewritten plr articles or similar crap, you can just forget the traffic.

The number 1 traffic mthod is what ever you are good in to generate traffic from, whether its from free sources, paid sources or SEO. It's different from people to people, some are good in one source and some are good in others...

The number one traffic method is a result of how well
you have researched and understood your target market.

Too many people forget that critically important step. It's
not about keywords, it's about knowing where your target
customer hangs out, what interests them and who they
pay attention to.

Well I'll tell you from running over 20 different paid traffic sources, with over 15 running at any given time... that generally, Google, Facebook and Email traffic (with your own lists and through lists that you buy and paid placements) are my number 1... yes, there's 3, but I wouldn't want to narrow it to just 1.

Those are work well with any niche... and with Facebook, the targetting is absolutely amazing.

There are many other sources, some that aren't so well known that produce amazing results... but those 3 can give anyone a good solid biz.

Hi,

You can either go down 2 routes with this...

1. If you have a BIG enough advertising budget you can TEST as many varied
PAID traffic sources as you wish and TRACK your campaigns that way once
you find which source works best for your particular offer or service.

2. Or you can look to SEEK out where your IDEAL client spends most of their
time online and look to get your offer or solution in front of them.

Of course if you want to maximize your chances of seeing repeat sales by building
relationships and trust between you and each lead that enters your funnel then you
need to get them onto an email list.

I agree that there is not a set formula for this purpose but still the following sites are inevitable for getting quality traffic.

1. Facebook
2. Twitter
3. YouTube

There is no number 1 traffic, everyone has there own different views, and there own number 1 traffic that is good for them!

You are right there is no one way that's best to get traffic.

There's multiple ways to drive targeted traffic, but something you may not forget to do is to capture the email of your visitors.

Then you have a direct line to your audience and basically traffic on demand.

i believe there is no #1 traffic method. Different people will get into different method, as long as it works for them. But baseline, you need to try all and continue doing the working method.

  I agree that there is no number one traffic method.
  Different things work for different markets.
  The most important thing about traffic is that it is targeted, so just make sure that you put your offer in front of people who will be interested in it, and traffic will never be a problem.

  I have found that for virtually any niche, engaging content syndicated in niche-relevant publications can drive massive highly convertible traffic faster, better, and cheaper than any other traffic generating method - bar none. But, that's just my not-so-humble opinion from over 16 years of first-hand experience.
