Made my first $100 on iWriter. $105.16 to be exact.

First of all, I'm not trying to promote iWriter whatsoever, so iWriter haters...you win.

I'm just giving you an update on my personal journey with them.

Well, I started with iWriter a long time ago, but couldn't stand the standard rate--$2 for a highly well written article?! Uh please.

Fast forward 2 years and I'm back on iWriter, and I even invested in the Fast-Track program for $147. Got my test articles reviewed and passed with flying colors. However, due to my previous low ratings (don't try to spin your articles), I couldn't get to Elite, but remained at Premium. Read more below how I overcame this. Fast Track is a joke btw.

But I persisted. $4.46 isn't so bad for a 500 word article.

So I worked with it and wrote 4 articles per day which you can do the math. 4x$4.46 = $17.84 * 7 = $124.88 per week, which is for me (a newb) an amazing achievement.

Now everyday wasn't always perfect, so I didn't make that $124.88 but did make $105.16 for that week.

What did I do?

I wrote quality and unique articles for $4.46. That's it. No spun content whatsoever. Okay maybe a little, but they were manually spun to make perfect sense to the average reader. Don't get me wrong, my clients requested for such. So I delivered.

I also found a few rare clients who would accept mediocre content like stuff you would use for PBN networks, which had made my work all the more fun and profitable. And I would get immediate 5 stars from these clients, for spending less than 30 minutes to spin a few 300 word articles.

Now if only I had found them earlier, I think I wouldn't have to spend that $147 for the Fast Track program. I would have only spent $37.50!!!

Conclusion
Well, I hope some of you were encouraged by my success. I'm only making $4.46 atm, but will soon go up to $8.10 fairly soon. I can easily make $80 per day, but choose not to because I'm just that lazy, so I'll stick with half, which is more than enough for my bills at the moment.

I know iWriter may not be a solution for you, but again, this was just an update on my personal journey, and I can say that it has truly worked for me. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

There are good writers everywhere, you just have to keep an eye out for them, and employ them when you need writing. There are plenty of college educated writers in poor countries that are willing to write for a nominal fee.

It all depends on how you instruct your writers actually. Choose Premium and Elite writers only. And give clear instructions on how you want the article to be written. I love clients who give clear and detail instructions, rather than just, "write about [keyword]." I tend to steer clear from those.

There's more into it, but you will almost always get great and unspun articles written. Granted there are pretty bad writers, I understand, but we don't live in a perfect system and it's always trial and error for me before I find the perfect kind of writer.

You're right about foreign writers, too. Odesk for example. You could find great writers for cheap. iWriter's the same. I'm just more use to it.

I'm sure they have their share of good writers. I think you have to love writing to make a full time income doing it. There are tons of wirters who just want to make a living, so they use whatever shortcut there is, to produce articles. The ones that love to write can probably produce 2,3, maybe more articles per hour.

At those rates, I'm guessing the more efficient your are, the more you make. Maybe you can cut your writing time in half by using speech to text software?

when iWriter start to recruit and open door to anyone good on writing, I think year ago or more, I took the test that time and failed, I thought I was smart enough, I just spun the article and submitted, so I got the answer within couple of hours FAILED. if you have achieve the bar $100 weekly, it's not big money weekly but can help a lot.

if you are lazy like you said, you will stay in the $100 weekly, probably less.....
be active and double this amount, I am sure it will make some different for you....

        Good advice here.

I've been using iWriter for a while now and once you get a decent list of 'Favourite' writers the service is great.

In fact, I was that impressed that I decided to write an article about it on my blog

Moving away again from selfless promotion, it did take me a bit of time to get a collection of writers together.

A really good thing about iWriter is that you can reject articles if you're not happy with the content or ask for a rewrite from the author.

Rejection is great but you need to keep an eye on the percentage of articles you accept or decent authors tend to stay away.

Asking for a rewrite gives you a good chance to see if an author can follow instructions, even if it is the second time around..

All in all quite a good service, for me anyway!

I'll have to give you a go Hydride, always on the lookout for good writers.

        Cheers

        Jon

I was on the top of iWriter a LONG time ago making $100+ per day. Yes, it is an amazing way to make a big income. I would recommend anybody here to get started with iWriter considering how easy it is. I was making BIG money as a writer on there, and I am in no way a professional writer.

I still remember when I earned $30 in a single hour on iWriter. And no, those articles weren't spun or poorly written.

Great job OP! It's nice to see people getting themselves out there on this site even until now. Continue on, and keep writing more.

Congrats on your success, mate. So far I know, the usual perception about iWriter is that it is not contractor-friendly at all. I read this review a few months back where the guy (presumably a native US writer) complained that sometimes a buyer would not give a good feedback score to deserving writers only to make sure that they don't get promoted to the elite level.

But I am glad that you punched those obstacles right in the face and nailed what you had aimed for.

I don't think these spun contents are software generated. Software generated spun contents does not make much sense while reading and nobody would like to spend money in such crap.

That's right. When I said spun, I guess I should have said manually spun which is different from the traditional spun or "automated spinning." I don't want to argue spun or original, because like I mentioned, some of my clients don't mind spun content as long as it was manually spun (which makes sense). iWriter also gives you the option of spintax or original also. :p

Congrats buddy. IWriter is a good place to make money if you have writing skills, but from my experience there are very few Elite level projects available at any point in time and problem is the bunch of elite projects that you see when you are NOT and elite write is just to entice you pay for the upgrade – you won’t see so many projects once you’ve worked your way up.

Is the "test" very difficult, or is it just writing on some provided topics and judged on the quality of these submissions? This seems like a good way to get back in the habit of writing a lot, even if it isn't on topics I am particularly interested in.

Did you ever try to sell articles of Fiverr?
A standard price is $5 (you make $4) for 100-300 words...
Of course there are people that are willing to write much more but quality writers can put their prices easily!

I haven't tried writing (specially) on Fiverr. It's just my personal opinion, but I think the market there is too tough. There are too many good writers and too many new writers, that its difficult to find clients, even on Buyer's Request.

I still like Fiverr for its quality, but as a writer on iWriter, I love the fact that there are always articles to write on a first-come-first-serve basis, so finding clients is not that difficult. Plus, I make $4.46 per article.

Depends on what your long-term ambitions are.

How about trying other freelancing platforms like Elance, Odesk and Freelancer? Unlike iWriter, you can nail projects with longer/more-flexible deadline on these sites. That way you can keep your day job and simultaneously build a decent clientele that serves as an alternate source of earning. Once you have one, you can quit your day job.

Strategic planning and smart work are the keys here. All the best

It's nice to see how easy people can make money online and I would like to congratulate you with this achievement. BUT. But in my opinion, for that kind of job your earnings is way too low. The problem is that Indians and other people from east that can speak and write in English pretty well have lowered prices in a Global niche.
