help adding product description on woocommerce

woocommerce on Wordpress and I see the empty content area just like a blog post but also below that I see a SHORT product description area.

My questions is this. Does it matter where you place it? Will google penalize you for putting the same description in both places? Reason I ask is because the short product description shows perfect right next to the product to the right hand side without scrolling. If you put it in the larger content area then its hidden under the product.*

  • Your short and long description should be different. Worded to be unique. Here you can target variant keywords.

    You should also make your product titles different than your competition and target long tail versions. ie nike free 5.0, to black nike free 5.0 on sale.

    Often enough distributors supply short and long descriptions. These should be rewrote/spun.

    I had one client who's products were buried over 85 pages back, and a little change in a couple days work took her to first page on quite a few of her products.
