When to replenish your list?

Hi Warriors

I've been on the forum looking around and posting here and there for while, and I've really gotten invested in the IM game. My concern is with email lists.

Recently I've had some list's I've had to simply get rid of as an overwhelming amount refused to open any emails. And those that did were complaining too often for my liking. That's probably on me though for not staying on top of those lists enough.

On a good note, I've recently started a new list, and it's giving me much more success with open rates and clicks. I changed my mindset, and I dedicate myself to being a constant in their inbox.

Now I want to populate this list more, but I don't quite know how often to make my next solo ad purchase for it. It's tricky because you want to constantly have an active list, especially if you're going to get into the solo ad vending business yourself..which is probably where the real money is made.

What is a reasonable rate to build your list monthly to reach to a certain point? Say 1000 subscribers.

Your thoughts are appreciated!

I've been list building and buying boats of solos for a while.

My advice is to track your solo ads meticiulously and if the solo ad vendors you like replenish THEIR own list, then you should build your list from theirs every few months or so.

Also, one thing I've noticed is that the more I email, the less complaints I get (Crazy right?)...

Also consider your budget. If you can afford to buy more traffic? Do it.

    Keep adding leads. Never stop.

Just my $.02, good luck man, you rock!

All I know is you have to keep up with the people who want your emails and remove the ones on the list that don't. Quality is better than quantity.

There is no rule to how fast you should build your list. Like the other poster said, keep track of what solo ads are working for you and scale up. I know folks that add tens of thousands to their list, every day.

Make sure you are not spamming them with offer after offer...Provide them with high value and they will be waiting for your emails...I have one list that where I consistently get people thanking me for the tips I give them which in return makes them click on my affiliate links when I do send them out...

Keep adding fresh lead every day if possible whether that's with paid or free traffic...Find a good balance and you will see great results!

If you know how, you should be adding leads every day. Its harder in some niches than in others.

if your paying for the traffic, then make a rule that you never spend more money on getting leads until your leads have made you what you paid for them.

    Hi,

Don't over think things when it comes to building your lists and adding FRESH
    leads into your business.

As already mentioned you MUST track your results for any PAID traffic
sources that you use for your business.

    1. Opt In rates.
    2. OTO sales made.
    3. Back end sales made.

If you can get your funnel to break even or make a profit at the FRONT END
    then that is when...

    ...YOU SCALE UP YOUR NUMBERS!

Now you don't have a traffic problem. You have a system that pays for it's
    own traffic.

That's where you want to be. Now you don't have to worry too much about
replenishing your lists because you always have FRESH leads coming in anyway.

And one more important thing.....DON'T STOP EMAILING YOUR PEOPLE!

Never allow your lists to go COLD.

First of all, if you want a more responsive list, I would go with pay per click ads.

Plus, the key to success with an email list is to get new subscribers every single day.

This is all some great info guys.

Havn't used ppc for list building much..i'll have to try that out again. I know Facebook is a pest with MMO opportunities.

I'll definitely never let my lists go cold anymore, big mistake!

To Evan's point, I agree with your point. Knowing how and when to mix in tips with your emails
is important. I personally have seen great open rates when i add some detailed tips to my emails explaining something, and then present the offer at the bottom if they want to learn more about
      a product.
