If you're not able to take payment by PayPal, you may lose a lot of potential customers: it's overwhelmingly the most popular way that people want and expect to pay.

No payment-processor is suitable to put on a sales page hosted at Blogspot, because as soon as a member of Blogger's staff sees what you've done, "your" site (which you don't actually own) will probably be deleted for breaching the terms of service. This thread may help you.

If it's the IM niche then you gotta do whatever it takes to associate your site with PayPal or stand leaving truckloads of money on the table.

Any other offer you may consider credit card processor like 2co.

If you want to sell some scammy stuff like "get rick quick" ebooks or software then paypal might not be the best option. They might ban your account and you can never create one.

There are people who promote such kind of stuff and take paypal payments, but they usually started with other products and paypal already consider their accounts safe and they do not want to lose those fees.

It depend on what your are selling. I certainly would accept Paypal, but not as your only payment option. If your business is low risk, try to get a direct merchant with lower fees and better conditions. There are a large choice of providers, like WorldPay, SagePay, RegularPay and others, you can choose the best option with best conditions for you.

In my e-commerce business, I usually accept both options and I give the choice to the customer. There are a lot of internet users who keep funds in their Paypal accounts. For them, having the option to use those funds easily to buy something online is a real convenience. However, when I first got a merchant account and a payment gateway for my websites, my web-based sales increase greatly.

Nowadays Most of the people are using the Paypal. It has a world wide coverage. on the other hand, if your country does not support the Paypal, you can use the SKRILL/ moneybookers, So it depends on your country. I think the Paypal is the best one.
