You write a post about for example teaching your puppy to walk in a leash. Then you link to a affiliate who sells leashes with a positive comment about the webstore and their leashes in that post.
Then you check your ctr and sales and try to improve that.

Do you know who your target market is? Obviously lab owners, but have you drilled down further?
How are you driving traffic to your site?

First of all, set up an autoresponder and start getting people on your list. It's way easier to get sales from subscribers than 1 time viewers. And in the future you can advertise to all subscribers at once, giving you a business that no longer relies on you getting blog visitors form sources that may dry up, or no longer function due to third party algorithm changes.

Write 10 autoresponder messages, 5 offering advice freely, 5 pitching a product. Later on, boost your messages up to as many as you can, but initially 10 works.

Then test and tweak the best way of getting readers to subscribe, usually a free guide works best but test form positioning etc.

Then just work on getting traffic and writing great content that'll make people want to read more of what you've written, and want to get on your email list.

Build more unique content. Find out long tail keywords and write articles for them. Once you start getting traffic, write a free ebook on labrodar and give it to collect email addresses. Once they are in your list, promote your affiliate offers to them.

Congratulations on starting your blog. Concerning your question, it seems you are completely new to this. Therefore, no answer given here will constitute a complete guide by which you can safely navigate to the place where you are making money online.

With that said, I've checked out your blog. The truth is that it is too early to start talking about monetizing it. The homepage is not done. There are very few blog posts. You need to focus on writing more posts and providing more value to your visitors.

In other words, your blog needs to offer more, way more. Posts, videos, reports etc. That will help you start building an audience. Think about things from your visitor's perspective. When will they start following your recommendations and clicking on your affiliate links? When they like and trust you because of the value you provide them with.

Incidentally, providing value is also what will build your traffic. I highly recommend you check out a free blog, Copyblogger. It will give you a great free education on what to do and how to do it when it comes to making money from your blog. You will also learn how to think about things in order to start succeeding.

So the key thing is give value first. Traffic and money will start getting easier as you do this ( and the various other important things - seo, list building etc.).

Firstly you need to get traffic to your blog through different SEO methods and Social media promotion. If you will get genuine traffic, then people will start trust on your blog and also want to purchase your products.

Firstly, You need to create a blog on your site and write quality content. This will help you attract visitors to your site. Only if you have visitors, there is a possibility they would convert to customers.

Next, market your content on social media. Try and understand what kind of content people are sharing on social media and looking for in your niche. You must create similar content and share on social media.
I would suggest you spend great amount of time on research to understand where your market is online and what are they looking for.

Another tip I would like to give you is, learn from your competitors. Analyse your competitors and understand what is it that they are doing right and you aren't. Learn from this.

I would suggest you get you're site redone too, as it is not very impressive. You could postpone your affiliate plan for now as there are a lot of other things you need to focus on first before moving to affiliate marketing

Your ad layout seems a bit odd. I would try adding less adsense blocks (I think you have very small blocks in your content). The homepage also has blocks of yellow for potential ad spaces on all of your posts which makes me want to click off of your site fast.

When I click on the homepage link, it brings me to home-2 not your homepage. I would clean up some of these issues and expand from there.

You can add affiliate links to books, training products and supplies. The pet niche has a lot of options available for you to make sales.

As you write your content, mention some of these products to readers with your affiliate link included of course.

I would also setup a mailing list so that you can begin email marketing and making even further sales.

Obviously, you will need to come up with a marketing plan and an approach on how to get sustainable traffic.

    Well..

As your site is about Labrador training.. Id suggest that the kind of ads you will want are from "Dog" related sites ( Pet sites, Vets? , ect .. )

You could build up a nice amount of traffic and maybe approach local stores or regional stores?

You could also look into "BuySellAds" , At least there, you can charge what you like and chances are, you will get advertisers that are advertising to your niche.

Google Adsense, may not be the best bet here.

    Just my 2cents.

You can use a plugin or any other third party tool depending on your sites cms. Another way is to create review posts for amazon products in your niche provide a price range and add the link to a button. For clickbank ads you can add the images or others in the same manor through posts or sidebar widgets. You should start thinking about ways to start promoting your site and increasing its presence in the serps. More traffic will bring more sales and clicks.

You need to get approval as an affiliate at clickbank and amazon before promoting their products. You target a product and target the audience who are looking for such products. Start promoting and keep patience.

    1) Adsense

    2) Affiliate marketing

    3) Your own product

For traffic, test with some quick paid advertising and test each income model out. The one that makes you the most money, roll with it.

Your site has a right side panel where you link to an amazon book. Also, there is a top ad too. So, it appears you already know how to put up links.

As for MAKING visitors buy, you have to get to WANY to buy, not MAKE them. Your post content could be more specific to a dog product with an embedded link...for example.

Lab need this supplement when they get older. And tell about how an aging Lab gets joint pain. Then link to a site that has an affiliate program and sells joint pain relief for Labs. See?

It's not that easy to make money on a blog. You need lots and lots of visitors, ad space, maybe sometimes even publicity contracts with some companies. You need to invest, before winning!
