Tips For Newbie Infomarketers

One, Put Your Product Out!

When I started, I remembered listening to all the programs, and them saying, "You Need to have an upsell, a downsell, and a continuity program or your leaving money on the table)"

But, don't let that stop you from putting something out. You can come back and put in a sales funnel later. Start selling stuff online now, start sending your list to your initial page (if you don't have a list, start making a list and then you'll have some place to send them to curve costs.

Another thing, maybe you have only one idea, or you can't really create something big in your niche, that's fine, you know what, there's a thing called Affiliate Marketing, and there are plenty of programs you can send them to, and if you're already selling them something small, even just a refurbished PLR program for 7 dollars, you'll have a buyer's audience. And, it can be a good cost balance to building a list.

Best way is to BARE BONE your product releases.. just get it there prematurely. I know people say "I dont want people to see it before its ready" but that is more for corporate unveiling. Your an Internet entrepreneur with shoe string budgets and not a whole lot of experience.. just throw it out there at the earliest time and work on it as you go.. otherwise.. your never going to release it and its going to sit there and do nothing on the work table. Your first product might be garbage but its YOUR garbage so be proud of it.. and more importantly.. get out there and sell some garbage.

Its not really about selling your product, but more about selling yourself rather. You need to focus on establishing yourself as soon as possible. The poster above is absolutely correct about getting your product out prematurely. It's more about the baby steps that help your online business grow over time, you can work on any errors along the way and polish what doesn't fit or work. Its basically a trail and error process but at the end you will become successful.

As a person in the Information Business online since 1986, I have a fall back position that one of my mentor's taught me...

    Sir Gary Halbert said,

    MOVEMENT BEATS MEDITATION.

He also told me to get off my azz and start DOING.

You are right, get it going, then tweak, expand and build on it.

You are right, but the fears newbies have are traffic generation and not being an authority as most buyers will rather buy from known or established authors.
      Just my two cent.

When I buy stuff online I first look at how can the product help me in my business. I seldom weigh in the option to buy or not to buy based on whether I know the person.

I would also suggest that price point and value has a lot to do with this and will get newbies over that hurdle you talk about (hint)

Thank you for mentioning your mentor, Gary Halbert. After years of trying it finally dawned on me that I needed a mentor to show me how to succeed. I've just signed up with Alex Jeffries, who is awesome! This is what all newbies should do --- find a mentor, and there are lots of them who will guide you --- instead of wasting time, energy and money trying to make it on your own. Keep smiling!

Yes you are right we should find a mentor instead of wasting our time, energy and valuable money. I think we can not succeed in this field without learning from a mentor and we can not do by ourselves.

You will probably get better advice then most of what's posted in this thread.

Yes, just throw some garbage out there, what the hell, everyone else is doing it. No sense creating quality...
