What am I doing wrong?

Asking vague questions without giving us all the details. It's the largest trend the internet has to offer, and now your a statistic. :-P

What is the structure of your sales funnel?

My son sits on the computer for 7 hours a day, and he doesn't make any money online either. It's not "how much" you do, but "what" you do.

What kind of Advertising have you done for the blog? One decent Pinterst Image can get you a handful of visitors. Course, if you don't promote your website, nobody is going to notice it.

The same question from the previous quote. Without advertising, it's tough to get noticed in the mass video that is added to Youtube on a daily basis.

With what little information you have provided, we are all confused. While we know you are trying to break into the Affiliate Marketing scene, we don't know what kind of funnel you have set up, or if you even have a funnel. Keeping the information tucked away only leaves members to guess, which often leads to terrible threads.

I suggest...

1. Finding a coach that is within your budget and proven to make a living online.

or...

2. Ask your questions with as much details provided, so we don't have to play the guessing game to figure out what the real problem is. Since it could be a mass of very small problems, you can see how guessing would only lead to more problems.

Hopefully I can provide some guidance to help you out, because Ive been in the exact same position as you when I first started out.

A good resource to check out if you are interested in SEO and ranking sites on the first page of google is www.source-wave.com (not an affiliate link). The site owner,Alex Becker gives away ALOT of value on his blog. His methods and strategies to ranking sites on page 1 actually work, because Ive tried them myself and ive ranked quite a few of my own affiliate sites on page 1. I can honestly say he is one of the few SEO's that really knows his stuff. I have no affiliation whatsoever, but I truly believe in his brand, and anyone that wants to get started in SEO should really check his site out.

Also I highly suggest you sign up for his Source Infinitum membership. In there you will get to network with other top notch SEO's in a private forum, and get biweekly webinars, and a whole arsenal of tools to help you increase your SEO knowledge for the longterm.

As far as getting better at affiliate marketing, you may want to sign up for paid private forums like "Affplaybook" and "Stack That Money". These are where the serious affiliate marketers hang out and exchange information. Also stay away from most of these WSO's..Most are crap and they are not worth the paper there printed on.

I would like to suggest an alternative plan, and if you follow this with 7 hours a day computer work,
you will make money, however you will need to work not for yourself but for others.

Note: I admit that it goes against the nature of being own boss, and creating own business... however
it is also a way to earn good living online, and I suggest this often as an alternative to friends (along with their own ventures, until their own ventures started to earn money)

In short: You have to put your knowledge of SEO and IM (you read and practice this for an year+ now)
into action by offering services to other people, who have real business or ideas and real money to invest into their ventures, that is your opportunity to earn money.

This method of making money have many names, some refer to it as freelancing, some call it outsourcing services, or simply a service.

So you create a personal blog or site, introduce yourself, and your experience and skillset.
Then register on freelance sites and bid on all projects which are related to IM which you can be
helping hand like, some people need help installing WordPress, setting up affiliate links, linking their products to their site, and clickbank and so on. You offer your service to help them get the job done,
by you doing the real work for them.. and they pay you money and you keep getting more and more clients and more work and more money (on the side you can keep working on ONE affiliate blog and invest money and time into to make it big...)

This way you will not have to wait for first affiliate sale to come before you start to make money.
Hope this give you an alternative version of earning online, a surefire way to earn money for anybody
who is willing to sit on pc for 7 hours a day, and willing to do the boring work which will bring him/her guaranteed money.

Don't start with hard something, Start with easy something that is the key

This depends on so many factors.. .most importantly being ... how are you yourself reaching out to people? ..

but other than that .. how many other people are promoting that product.
what are the most successful people promoting that product doing differently..
how can you "one up" them and do something that steals their 'thunder'.
is this is a niche that makes money daily? that really has the potential for high volume like you're expecting.

I'd rather not focus on what you're doing wrong, I'd rather ask you questions like that and garner some actual information to put you in the direction of success..

You've got to look at this a bit differently, don't look at it like everyone else does, because everyone else isn't making money, it's a few people who know wtf they're doing.. lol

I'm not sure, but I think you may be trying to make money by promoting ClickBank products as an affiliate without understanding the underlying basis behind "what actually makes people buy ClickBank products". Where did you think the visitors would come from? What's your traffic-generation plan? (If it involves "search engines", think again!).

I think you're trying to do something that doesn't work for most people, most of the time.

The very first rule to becoming an accomplished internet marketer is to have patience my friend. The term "patience is a virtue" was not invented for nothing. You cannot expect to make money too fast if you are just getting started as an internet marketer. You can promote your links by using higly effective FREE methods like making posts on.

Backpage.com

Inetgiant.com

Ebayclassifieds.com

And other sites like these and you have to remember that consistency PAYS! Never assume that you will make money by asserting very little effort. It doesn't work like that and I learned that the hard way when I first became an internet marketer. Any successful internet marketer will tell you the same thing I'm telling you. Good luck!

Your website is 1 week old ? you must be kidding ! People spend months trying to rank for keywords, relax and continue the work ,you will get there, but can`t expect to get there in a week.

I've been in the exactly same situation. I make some money now, and am making progress all the time...and I don't spend 7 h/day for his. The secret for me was to realize the necessary attitude first, before any technical stuff:

1. stop trying too many things on one go and focus on the very first step
2. get some help, a mentor, or an inexpensive course for beginners
3. unless you are a tech guy yourself: forget about SEO techniques and focus on small group of people you can reach and bond with. Communicate with them first, then take the next step.
4. remember: the main thing is to make that first dollar...not to make a lot of money, then take further steps.

This is the opposite of what you need to do online to promote anything.

I do not recommend that you do SEO and try to get your website on page one. Too much competition there.

I would look into paid ads like pay per click.

Trafic is easy but it`s conversion that is the tough games..

Just buy some trafics but make sure your sales funnel is top notch !!!
