Really need help on this; which autoresponder(s) allows you to send attachments to your subscribers if any? Appreciate your contributions

Aweber is not one of those services but why not include a link?

I recommend not sending attachments to your list, I would do what Nino said and link to a page that they can download from.

    Why?
    1. Many people will not open your attachment for fear of viruses. That fear is reduced when you take them to a trusted site that they've seen before.
    2. There's a high chance that many of your emails will get blocked. Many email hosts will think that you're spamming if you send out lots of emails with attachments in them and won't allow your emails to send.

even if they do , i'd recommend not to. your message either will end up blocked/spam and you will destroy your lists ...

The thing is that I will be sending them course packages which they PAID for. So it's not like I'm sending mass messages to my list or something like that.

That doesn't change the fact that you won't hit so many in-boxes, this way, and that a far better way to do it is to send out download links by email. There are reasons why that has become the standard practice. I'm all for individuality, but it's really easy to envisage how this could turn out to be a very bad example of trying to do something differently from how everyone else does it. Just occasionally there really is some "wisdom of crowds", and this is one of those times.

My biggest problem is how to tackle those annoying black hat forums. That's what even got me thinking in this direction...

Alexa is absolutely right. Just because you CAN send an attachment doesn't mean you should.

It's a bad idea for a few reasons, primarily:

            1. As Alexa has said, it drastically lowers your chances of reaching their inbox because of filtering.

This will radically increase the number of people wondering where their stuff is, causing more customer support headaches for you. And if people start wondering where their stuff is, it will erode their trust in you.

            Bad idea.

It also opens up more opportunities for tech headaches. I've been in tech support for some time and you do NOT want that.

            2. People are still leery of opening attachments for fear of viruses and such.

These are the two primary reasons not to send attachments, even if it's for something they've paid for. As Alexa mentioned, it's a much better idea to put all of their downloads in one place, on a password-protected page and then send the link and password to everyone who has purchased.

I've been in some very high-level (i.e. expensive) coaching programs and this was how it was done. It was a very clean and simple process. Tech support was mostly made up of questions about what the exact link and password was.

            Hope that helps!

It doesn't matter, because the chances of reaching your subscribers' in-boxes (rather than their "spam"/"bulk"/"junk" mail folders) with a bulk email carrying an attachment are so low anyway. There are also a few other disadvantages of doing this. It's generally much better to send subscribers a link from which they can download whatever the attachment was going to contain, at a time and in a way that's convenient for them.

Are you talking about an attachment such as a pdf file? If so, then you can simply link directly to that file hosted online and it would open in the client's browser. As for sending exe files as an attachment, that might be iffy as many can be infected and it might raise suspicion with your email provider as well as subscribers.

Actually Aweber and almost all of the other services DO allow attachments (in Aweber it's a paperclip icon at the bottom of your message).

If you do use this method make sure to tell your customers to check their spam folders because an autoresponder email with an attachment is more likely to end up in the Spam folder (at least that's been my experience when I tested it out).
