Auto Optin Buyers To Affiliate Program

Hello fellow warriors, I am wondering how many marketers automatically sign buyers up as affiliates after they buy a product?
Currently I don't auto sign them up but I do send them an email message telling them about the affiliate program.

    Depends on the niche. I've had some success with that in financial niches, but other niches it's fallen flat.

    Example: A person doesn't buy a weight-loss product with the idea of making money - they want to lose weight - and they've purchased your product based on a trust relationship. If you remind them immediately after purchasing your product that you're doing this for the money, some of that trust diminishes. For them, this isn't a profit taking venture; it's a lifestyle change.

      Nothing wrong with auto-enrolling people into your affiliate program so they have a link they can go out and start promoting.

      Would I do it? Not really. Customers tend to be your worst affiliates. I'd much rather spend the time going after seasoned affiliate marketers.

    It has happened to me several times I was automatically signed up to the affiliate program. The IM niche is the only niche I can see it maybe working in. I'm sticking to emailing them about it after they buy.

    I'd say garnering the fascination of affiliates is my biggest weakness haha...

    (The only official "Paid" WSO launch I ever did I literally denied 90% of the affiliates who applied)...

    But... I realized how poorly I've erred in my marketing mechanics... (And I even made a bunch of my affiliates mad when I suddenly YANKED the offer off the shelf rofl, bad mistake #2)...

    Best Practice: Advertise your affiliate program on the thank you page. But, I wouldn't necessarily sign them up automatically...

    And obviously don't follow me in my poor practice.
