PLEASE HELP: Brand New Warrior!

I've been attempting for years how to make money online. This is my 2nd time investing money in internet marketing campaigns on the internet. Last time I used clicksor.com without much success with a $30 investment. I know it isn't much, but it was a test. Even though 30 isn't much I've heard people succeeding with a low budget. Heck I even heard of people succeeding without spending a dime. If people can succeed without spending a dime, then there should be no reason why I shouldn't succeed with a small investment. I want to see if my money is getting me anything before I scale up and invest more in advertising. AdSense is a pain in the ass for affiliates, so is bing and so is facebook they are all too picky.

As a new Warrior, I just don't know where to start. I've used the search function and saw some good deals, but just don't know which ones are actually good and not just some paid positive review.

I want to put up something simple and start reaping the benefits of internet marketing. I don't want to be a millionaire or anything, would just like to make a full time income from this type of business.

Just recently, I put up an advertising campaign using a site called www.eleavers.com . What are you thoughts on it. My campaign has been running for 1 day and so far here are my statistics...

My product is: A clickbank product. Called tao badass method which has a video and a purchase button underneath it. It's a course on how to pick-up women.

Impressions: 42
Clicks: 1
Max bid per click: 0.860
CTR: 2.38%
Landing Page: No, it's a direct link to sales page

My keywords are the following (didn't use phrases because eleavers does not allow them):

Girls
Women
Dating
Attract
Course
Seduction
Advice
Pussy
Laid

My campaign seems to be running slow. I have no idea why. Did some research on the keywords using google keyword tool. A few of these words have 10,000 monthly searches with low to medium competition. Also, as you can imagine, pussy has 1,000,000 monthly searches.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Please help a fellow warrior, I am a paid member and want to reap the benefits of this forum! Want to know what everyone is talking about when they say being a war room member is so great.

There are ways to work on a budget and do it correctly with good results, and then there's trying to spend literally nothing (like $30 total) as an investment in a business.

You need quite a few more tools to have a decent impact and should look to spend more than $30... more like a $200/mo budget or at the least $100/mo.

It will take a very long time to make sizable income promoting one Clickbank product to less than good or targeted traffic.

Bottom line you need an autoresponder and and squeeze page to have any real shot at making a full time income unless you divert to physical product sales and even then, a list is recommended.

If there's any way I can be of help, don't hesitate

I must admit that for very many reasons, that isn't a product for which I'd buy traffic to promote, as an affiliate, myself.
Sounds to me that the gravity rating on clickbank is a load of garbage. It means nothing, I guess people pay for a higher gravity rating so people promote garbage. Claims of conversions mean nothing as well. To much stuff floating around enough to make a new marketer have a headache! I'm not really new to marketing, I am just new to paid marketing. I've tried free methods and none of them work. How do people expect to make money when they themselves don't spend a dime. Free methods seem to take forever and bring little in return for time spent.

I'll stop the campaign I am running and choose a different niche. I thought Dating advice or picking up girls would be a good niche.... I'll take your advice and say it isn't a good niche. I researched keywords and thought it would bring in good conversions at high speed. Guess I was wrong. Need to learn the right stuff.

Any suggestions on what niche I should choose?

You need quite a few more tools to have a decent impact and should look to spend more than $30... more like a $200/mo budget or at the least $100/mo.
I would like to use a higher budget but I don't want to get screwed over. Would rather spend my money wisely then spend it on stuff when I don't know what I am doing.

Right now I work in the oil field and make $5000 a month. Would be nice to have a second income on top of what I make.

Maybe someone can assist me step by step on how I can profit. I want my hand held while doing the process so I can learn and replicate success myself.

Hi Saver, from one newbie to another, I appreciate your problem. I started off like you, thinking it would be easy to make money through Clickbank. It isn't. There are lots of super affiliates making mountains of cash from CB, but they didn't do it overnight. It takes time, energy, dedication and patience. After years of trying on my own, with CB and lots of other money-making opportunities, I have finally come to realize that there is only one way to succeed in Internet Marketing --- find a mentor! There are lots of them out there! They won't coach you for free, but whatever you pay is just peanuts compared to what it would cost trying to make it on your own. Good luck and keep smiling!

That's a good idea. Actually seeing sales made in real time would help my belief systems. I really have a hard time believing a living can be made by just an ordinary person like me. I have the belief that I need a big group of staff expensive programmers and big company to make it in the internet world.

A mentor is probably all I need to help me psychologically so that I can start being a real believer.

Clinkbank isn't as good as it used to be. Amazon affiliate is better.

Never heard of the ad network for starters. I'd recommend building an authoritative blog around the niche, set up a squeeze page and then use a well-known PPC network like Adwords to drive traffic to your squeeze page.

Then you can start to build a list and promote products to that list time and time again increasing your ROI from the initial PPC campaign.

Also, I must agree with carcin0genic, you need to spend $100+

When I test a campaign on Adwords I usually throw $250 at it - AS A TEST.

I agree 100% Carcin you need a Squeeze Page and autoresponder. You shouldn't send PPC to a straight sales page until you know how well a product will convert for you. Also I disagree with you about BING and Facebook being to picky... I thing BING has some of the most targeted traffic you can get, ONLY if you know how to use Bing effectively. There is a learning curve though..

But my best advice to you is to get an autoresponder and a Squeeze page set up and send your traffic from your advertising source to your Squeeze Page, Because honestly the majority of people will not buy a product you are offering the first go around and if you are sending straight to a sales page without knowing how well that particular product converts for you, then you are doing nothing but throwing money down the drain. So start building an email list, Have a nice strong follow up sequence that goes out to the people who has subscribed to your list providing quality content about whatever problem it is that they are trying to solve then simply offer them the solution to that problem.

Do not hard sell during your follow up sequence and each follow up sequence should build off from the previous follow up...

Take meaningful but imperfect action and get it done, and always remember, until you know the conversion rates for a product, then don't ever send them straight to a sales page...

The thing I don't like about bing is they don't accept paypal.

As far as Facebook goes, I guess they were only picky because I was trying to promote a clickbank link or cloaked clickbank link. Also, I was trying to promote a marijuana related site. I am currently working on a forum called Mapleplanet.com ... It's currently under construction, and I want to get leads from that niche into the forum.....

What are you guy's take on profiting from making an internet forum? Obviously, warrior forums is making a few bucks from the warrior room and putting up banners.

Maybe I should start off as running a good forum that offers people something good and think about advertising after I've provided good value to my members.

      What do you guys think?

Seems to me like I have to do a lot of coding on a website and make it as custom as possible to get anywhere in internet marketing. There is no simple page someone can put up and make a few coins.

Reason why Facebook was picky is because you was sending straight to an affiliate offer... It could also have some to do with your offer, I dunno... I havent advertised on facebook... Again you need to be building a list out of the gate...

Also you are overthinking things... You need to pick one business model and stick to it until you make it successful and then branch off into other areas... You can start off building a list, promoting offers and once you start becoming successful with it then you can go the forum route... You don't need to put all your eggs in one basket, but you also don't need to start off with trying to do to many things as all it will do is overwhelm you and you will wind up giving up... So just focus on 1 business model until you get good at it and become profitable until you delve into other business models...

    • You want good money with lowest investment? Build your email list!

As suggested above squeezepage autoresponder is a must! And that is bare minimum

Then you will need a product to promote or create your own( as a newbie it is quite hard)

I think you're floundering about, because you're trying to "take action" on lots of different things in different ways, without really understanding yet how any of them actually works, rather than selecting one business model and learning plenty about it before you try to do anything.

I'm saying the same as Michael, above, but perhaps a little more directly.
What I want to do is build a forum.... Maybe not a marijuana niche. That can turn a lot of business off. Health and fitness is big these days. I think I need to direct my forums on health and fitness because that is something that I am truly passionate about. Love raw food, alternative medicine, exercise and physical work. These are all categories that can be put into the forum that I can spark an interest in.

Forums sounds like a good idea to me, because with a forum you can build an email list. No squeeze page required. I enjoy customizing nice forums.

Php, html, css, java script, jquery and MySQL I can all work with to make a cool custom forum.

My forum will focus solely on helping people. That's what I want the focus to be. I think maybe, I should worry about advertising and monetizing later with products that actually help forum members.

Maybe I should stick to this business model?

This is going to take a lot of time. This certainly won't make me a living over night.

Forums makes sense because people always come back to participate in new discussions.

Love the straight forward approach Alexa But again Saver, again focus on "1" thing and not many different things as it'll only lead you to broke, confused and giving up...

Again in my 6 years in this industry, I started off thinking like you do,I mean no offense to that, 99% of newbie marketers do and if they say they don't then they're either lying or have the funds to hire a mentor straight out of the gate...

Like I said before and I know a lot of people will agree with me and some may not, but if you want a business that last's and not just a 1 hit wonder, you need to be building your email list straight out of the gate and not sending people straight to an offer...

Honestly Saver, I like the Marijuana thing as I am an advocate for legalizing it for medicinal purposes but again whatever route you decide to go, you need to focus your time 100% on it and not cut yourself short by going into other business models... I know nothing about forums, but I am 100% positive you are in the right place to learn about it...

To join a forums you need an email address, so you can easily build a list. Isn't that better than a squeeze page? With a forums, there's no auto responder required. Also, there is always new content being added which is good for seo.

Have a good forum and people will always be up to date about your latest content. No?

Maybe I should spend 100% of my free time perfecting a forum in health and fitness. It's good you like the marijuana thing, but there are also a lot of people who appose marijuana and will decline business because of it. If I make a health related forum, then I can incorporate marijuana in the alternative medicine section so that way my site won't be declined by people.

When I am done perfecting my forums, I am considering paying to put up my ads on already reputable health and fitness forums. If my site is attractive and well put together, my advertising will more than likely be approved, No?

Meh, I am tired of wasting time searching through all this marketing headache stuff. Would rather just work a regular job and enjoy my free time when I do have it. Since posting this thread, I have already been personal messaged by 2 scammers.

As far as my forums go, I am going to just develop a health forum because that is something I am passionate about. I don't care about making products people don't need. That seems to be the type of products you get here on the warrior forums.

$20 well spent on a warrior room membership woohoo! Won't even be using it. There is nothing in these forums that I didn't already know.

Sick of dealing with marketing bs online.

I think the best advice is no advice at all and just make things and learn from trial and error. If you listen to people you are easily mislead and turned into a fool. Trial and error is the best teacher and giving value to people is better than making money.

Really? You asked for advice, received GOOD advice from people who know what they are talking about and you think its all misleading and a waste of time? Perhaps you should do a search and see how many health forums there already are. It will save you wasting even more time. And I don't mean yours.

Please be kind enough to report any unsolicited, promotional, private messages to the moderators, using the little red triangle icon in the top right-hand corner of each: it improves the forum for all of us, in the long run, if people do this, but nobody can take any action over things they haven't seen. Thanks in advance.

I admit that after the conversation in this very thread, that surprises me greatly. It really felt as if what 5 of us were explaining to you at some length, here, comprised things you didn't seem to know at all. Oh well, appearances can be deceptive.

To be honest, your offer looked quite scammy. Not saying you are a scammer, but I just can't believe the offer. As long as I start believing amazing things are possible, that's when I am most susceptible to being ripped off.

Scammers will keep trying until I am persuaded and suckered again.

First my friend never ever drive traffic to your sales page directly. you can't do that while using advertising. you will lost bunch of money this way. you need to capture people emails and build a list. I will tell you what I do with my business and you can model after. when you first start a campaign. build 3 different landing pages to capture people emails and split test between them to see what converts best. then choose the higher one and try to beat it. to get the maximum amount of your investment. you can direct people to thank you page after that or your sales page. your profit will came up from following up with them with your messages. imagine if you have 100,000 subscribers and 1% only buy your stuff.
how much profit you will make?

I don't know that place that you use for driving traffic, where their traffic come from. we know that Google traffic come from search engine, I don't know is their traffic is crap or not. but there are many methods to drive traffic and if you want to use ppc traffic

    use
    Bing ads
    Adknowledge
    7Search

this is the most places for that type of traffic. start small, see the conversion, see the return of your investment. Then scale up.
if you don't have big budget to use on your advertising. focus on free traffic.

Its a pity Saver thought what people said in here was a waste of time. I thought all of what was said was sound advice, and no one suggested being paid for the advice they gave. I think he needs answers that will give him an instant hit or lift in his business and thats not going to happen as like any other offline business, internet marketing is just like any other business and there are no instant riches. Everything takes time.
