Calling Software Programmers - How Much Would This Cost To Get Developed?

How much would it cost me roughly for a software programmer to create a piece of software like those ones on the market that automatically grow your twitter following, automatically unfollow you from those not following you back, and other things?

    Hi Jason,
    Being a full time programmer (nothing to do with IM), I can tell you first off that you might get some replies, even some good ideas. But you aren't providing hardly enough detail for anyone to give a ball park figure.

    Is this a program that will run in Windows? Or Mac as well? By saying "and other things" what other features specifically do you mean?

    How much money do you plan on making from such a software? The marketer in me would quote you accordingly!

      I'm very interested in investing in the project, though I have no idea what it might cost.

      The features of the software should be like Hummingbird, Hot Twitter Spy, and My tweetElite Pro. I don't want anyone who will rip off their code. I just want similar features... and make it a program that you could download to your desktop and use instead of the monthly rated program like Hummingbird. Hot Twitter Spy is like this, and I think My tweetElite Pro is too.

    I didn't mean to make light of your request by no means. It sounds like a fun project actually, but unfortunately time isn't something I have much of these days. I'm glad you came back to post more detail though, certainly hope that you find the right candidate.

    Why not suggest bids from those at scriptlance and elance to see what kind of price they come up with ... maybe there is a similar project already being developed that the scripter can modify that suits your requirements, might be cheaper & that way the scripter would already know what they are doing.

    There are lots of options. However, if you are stuck let me know and I'll put you in touch with someone who might be able to assist you.

    Ok, put your requirements, as detailed as possible, including any examples of anything currently available (i.e. websites/links/etc.) in a PM and I will send the specs to them and see what we can come up with price/time wise. The guy I use is good & not that expensive.
