Advice on Fiverr

Welcome to the site.

Get yourself a Facebook, Twitter and stumbleupon accounts. Grow your network on all these including Linkedin and Pinterest. Then start promoting your Gigs on there. If you start networking and posting value. You will start to drive traffic to your Gigs. Social Media is hot now... Hope this helps!

Agreed use social media platforms to further your reach...Youtube is a great way to market your business, I find it a very underrated way of getting more eye balls on your offer

I would definitely consider using youtube. For your needs, you dont have to show your face. Get an screen-capture recorder and show people what you can do for them, and show them how easy it is for you to do it for them.

Thank you all for the great feedback! I will def take your advice and run with it! I have also linked a twitter now so hopefully that will bring some traffic in as well.@Mostafa82 I am working on the likes on my own stuff now. Have just been doing a lot of research first. @PinkStar thank you for the great feedback on the fiverr page

I don't have a domain up yet, but I was wondering if a tumblr would work? What do you think? I have worked with Tumblr before so pretty familiar. Keep the feedback coming this is very inspiring!

Why not create some Youtube videos of yourself and post on your Fiverr profile or sales gig. These videos will be simply with you talking about yourself, your expertise and services to be provided. This video could help you establish an emotional link with your potential customer, making them see you are a real person, rather than just one more seller trying to get their money.

  Maybe you could bring your family into the room and have them sitting near the camera and just talk to them, while the camera is on. That could alleviate your nervousness. Most entertainers perform to an audience not a camera, that's true for comedians, who often have an audience. Just keep at it, until you feel very comfortable and natural. After awhile, being on camera and talking to others will seem like second nature and you will be addicted. Best of luck with your ventures.

Another method is to advertise on forum signatures or subforums on freelance forums that allow advertising. If there are any buyers browsing the forum, they are likely to see your services in this way. Another idea would be to use Facebook and Google+ and any others such as the work at home or freelance groups they have to offer.

Do you get any negative attention when posting there, such as other sellers who try to openly compete with your listings because of jealousy? Just wondering what your experience on that forum is like.

That will just depend on whether or not you are competing in a very popular niche. Ideally you would want to pick a niche that doesn't have much competition. Then your chances of making a sale from anyone searching the site for that service would be increased. If you have already made sales from Fiverr, then be sure to post your positive reviews on your sales page or link to customer comments as proof that you can do a good job. This type of proof might be important for some buyers. Hopefully these ideas will help increase your sales.

Using forum signatures as you're doing now, might be one way to promote your Fiverr services. However, a forum signature does not really demonstrate your service quality. For that, you could have a banner created featuring an actual screenshot from Fiverr of a positive customer review. Then post that as your signature line, linking back to your Fiverr service. That idea could work on any forum allowing a banner in the signature.

I went to your URL...the page looks good! However, I'm wondering how many orders you've delivered so far. That's going to make potential buyer know yoou're serious and very active and not just a fly-by-night Fiverr seller.

Coming from someone who has purchased many, many Fiverr gigs, find a way to bring your response time from 4 hours to 1 hour, and your delivery from 7 days to perhaps 4, if at all possible.

We're living in an instantaneous era now.

Use the right tags for your gig. Also, a gig video will also help boost exposure and portfolio, so that would be a huge plus. If you're intimidated to make one you can use sites like Powtoon, which is free and perhaps add your own voiceover for your presentations.

To get your first sales it will help if you offer a bonus. Like when I started I wrote 2 articles for $5 + 1 free article for first orders. When I've got enough thumbs up to gain a rep @ Fiverr I immediately changed description and removed the bonus, also adding another day to the turnaround time.
