"Spam Proof" Your Email Address

I thought some Warriors would be interested in this.

If you sign up for a free subscription to Microsoft Windows XP, Vista, Internet Explorer (IE), Firefox, Windows Update - Everything Microsoft forgot to mention before July 1st, they will give you a copy of Brian Livingston's report, Spam-Proof Your E-Mail Address.

Spam-Proof Your E-Mail Address, 3rd Ed. describes little-known, cost-free techniques that can prevent about 97% of the spam that would ordinarily clog an e-mail account. The methods described in Brian Livingston's 32-page e-book require no costly anti-spam filters or hard-to-maintain block lists. Any user of Windows, Macintosh, or Linux can take advantage of the book's no-cost spam-proofing techniques. But you can use filters and block lists in conjunction with this book. There are no incompatibilities and the choice is always yours.
I have no association or affiliation with them. Enjoy!

You're welcome. I thought it might be useful to somebody.

Plus, it's a good example of a well-written report... if anyone is looking for a format to model for their own.

  • Thanks for the report. If you have the money, Postini.com is one of the better filters out on the market, I went from having 1000+ spam emails a week to 10-15 a week. Also, I would highly suggest encoding your email address on websites, the harvesters have gotten a lot better and can remove (removethistosendmail) and the (dot) (com) and other common spam blocking instances. I used the spam encoder at wbwip.com/wbw/emailencoder.html and it works very well
