Exposure and Conversions for Physical Product - New Warrior needs help

Hello warriors,

I've been following the forums here for several months and absolutely love the great ideas and smart people on this board. Thanks to everybody who participates here.

I have a unique situation: I work for a startup that just released a new home fitness DVD system for women. It's a real, physical product that sells for $119.85 and is currently being sold on our website (baladea dot com), Amazon, and several online fitness retailers.

Now, since this is a brand new product it has no exposure. I would love to hear your expert opinions on what the best ways to drive traffic and conversions (i.e. sales of the actual product).

We are currently starting AdWords PPC, do some remarketing, and some ads on POF to target single, overweight women.

I would love to hear your ideas on what the most cost-effective and high ROI methods would be to advertise this product to drive conversions.

    Video, Video, Video - Video works fantastic for this niche. How do you think Beachbody got so big. Either examples of the different DVD's, customer testimonials, etc.

    Affiliates - You will have to see what you can do to integrate it into Shopify but your best bet is to get affiliates to promote the product, or even better, get those that buy it to promote it as well.

    Just realizes your site is not mobile friendly. Get that fixed as most of my customers are seeing upwards of 50% visits from mobile sites. Shopify has free mobile CSS that your developer can then update. Surprise they didn't do that in the first place...

      The site looks great and all, but that isn't what sells a product. The words sell.

      That being said, there is nowhere near enough information about this product on your site. It's all been done before, and what is unique about your product is hidden on your home page.

      I don't say this to be mean, but if you want to sell something like this you need to focus on what makes it different.

      Make a video. A long video. One that explains exactly what it is, why it's unique, and why it will work better than any other product they've tried.

    Try Facebook ads also.. I am doing FB ads and it gives great ROI
