Explination please on WordPress Virus/Issues of late
Hi Warriors:
Almost the weekend. Hope all is well.
Could somebody explain to me a few things about the recent situation with WordPress (Virus/Bugs/Issues).
My WordPress Blog is not part of my websites it is totally through the WordPress site. I have not downloaded anything from them since the blog was created years ago.
1) Is the situation rectified currently, meaning not that previous damage was undone (sorry for all those that have been hurt) but as of today can people edit/create a new blog entry without danger?
2) I have a blog with almost 900 entries. All but 1 when testing them were fine with the contents staying normal, links, are okay, etc. Only 1 had a redirect to a site that the preview you can see from WordPress shows under construction. Why would somebody only redirect 1 post and not all? I am thankful but don't understand if they hack into a system (sorry of the terminology is wrong) wouldn't it make sense to redirect every post from every user and not selected ones?
3) Final question if you are malicious enough to do something like this wouldn't you want the redirect to potentially make you money? Wouldn't setting up a site that looks legit and is operable be more advantageous than under construction?
