The other day I was watching a promotional video and - frankly - I got bored after a few minutes and went off elsewhere.

But to that marketer, the fact that I visited the page and pressed the play button will be seen as someone who "watched" their video - when I really didn't.

Using various services we can see how much of a web page people read, where they exit, what they click and so on but this got me thinking about video.

Is there any form of video analytics that will tell you how *much* of a video someone watches? Surely this would help to target our videos to our target market and keep our messages interesting and involving?

Please let me know if you're aware of anything like this...
