Anyone Has Successfully Used phplist?

INTERNET MARKETING

Aweber and getresponse are not for me for a very specific reason. I am not looking for a free autoresponder. I am looking for something I have total control that I don't have to pay monthly especially when I am not sending emails for more than a month.

I tried installing phplist in one of my domains but I can't make it work inside hostgator's shared hosting server.

Anyone here has successfully tried it and what is its pros and cons? Is t easy to work with, especially the squeeze page and wordpress integration?

  Thanks but I have no problem installing the software and configuring it. The problem is, it is not sending emails that's why I'm asking for some feedback..

I used them but its very hard for them to be worth it. You have to work lots on delivebilty.

I would recommend buying arpreach.They cost 97, but it will help getting your emails out and also will help you make lots more money.

  Run, run, run away from arpReach. It's TERRIBLE software. We only have 60k subscribers and our VPS can't handle it because the SQL code is written so poorly. We've asked the vendor if we could have the unencrypted PHP code so we could improve their shitty software, and they of course wouldn't agree, and haven't done anything to fix it either. So now we're looking at other options.
  
  So many bugs, and they just don't want to do anything about it.
