I assume you are an affiliate, so just make sure to use your affiliate link and you will receive your commissions.

I don't see the point of direct linking to the purchase page, all people will see is the name of the product...I'm sure they want to know what the product is about before they buy it

Several years back I ran some tests on a variety of products I was promoting. I made my own sales pages, far more concise, far less hype, no "leaks". Then linked to the purchase page. My conversions were at minimum, 50% better and for a couple 100%+ better. The fact is, most of the sales pages for these products are extremely poor at getting a person to buy and it's any preselling that's getting them the conversion they do get.

Yes but i wouldn't advice to promote products that have poor sales pages

Thanks Mark, this was a subject that I was desperate to find out about for a while. Sometimes the vendors page doesn't quite cut it and you know by sending traffic to their site you will be losing sales. I invested in Easy Deal Builder a while ago as I'd seen some marketers doing exactly what I wanted with that script. Although far from perfect I could see the value in such a platform. Do a great job of selling and then send straight to jvzoo checkout...it's a winner without a doubt.

Are you informing vendors of this when you apply?

If someone didn't tell me and I caught them doing it, I wouldn't care how many sales they were bringing in, they would be done.

    But that's just me.

Agree. Asking first is the way to go. Plenty won't mind, but some will.

Noooooo, not just you: it's many vendors, I'm sure. For understandable reasons!

I've been astonished before, but I'd be astonished if JVZoo allows people to do this without the vendor's permission (ClickBank doesn't), but that's just me.

All of the people I promote for I have very good relationships with, we chat daily in Skype groups. It was in one of these groups I got the answer to this question. From Mr Zimmerman himself I recall. Sure if you don't know the vendors then it would be courteous to ask

I recall people used to do this with Clickbank a few years back until Clickbank stopped it. But there are some advantages in having your own landing page and that's what I liked about easy deal builder. As in you can do your own review and show the bonuses you are offering. To do all that work and then link to the vendors sales page, is another step for the buyer to complete...so you will miss out on sales. But yes Alexa and Brent you are right, you would need to talk to the vendor and explain why you want to promote in such a way.

Some still do it now. ClickBank allows it with the vendor's permission, but affiliates who do that with ClickBank aren't setting their affiliate-cookie on their prospective customers' computers. (They're still paid affiliate commissions on "immediates", but not on "returners".)
