Time to create a 29,90 dollars EBOOK?

How much time do you need to create a 29,90 dollars Ebook?
How many pages? How much effort? Do you write additionnal EBOOKS? ( for BONUS ...)

I really think that the ebook doesn't need to be perfectly published. I just remember this when i bought double your dating from David De Angelo (Eben Pagan) and i was shocked by the poor aspect of the ebook in terms of design. But it gives values, it was like a secret document that i was the only one to have.

The best you can do is list a number of "problems" people have. When you have the list you can start writing downl all the answers and this should be the base of your ebook.

I would say f you have a the knowledge and do the necessary research, you can easily create an ebook in a couple of days, perhaps even less than that.

The number of pages are irrelevant, if you can provide 29 dollar's worth of value on one page (That's a big if) then one page is enough, if not then you make it as long as necessary to say what you need to say.

One small piece of advice, is to edit the final draft to within an inch of it's life, cut out fluff, filler, useless drivel and anything else that does not add value to the product.

...and you virtually answered your question with reference to the book you mentioned, and if I remember correctly that product had absolutely killer copy and squeeze page to match.

This depends on how much you want to impress the customers, how professionally you look at your own work, and how you want your business to be perceived online, I think?

To be fair to Eben, ebook design in general (and specifically the comparative ease and availability of smarter/better-looking designs) has probably come on quite a long way, since those days?

No matter, how much the price/pages...it is all about the quality and information given in that ebook. Provide poor quality, at any price and don't expect much more future sales....

Time IS money, but just 'giving it 2 days' with no prior research doesn't give me confidence that it will be an ebook I would want to spend $29 buying.

For starters, people buy a non-fiction book for the information contained within it, not the design of the interior. Also, comparing or setting a goal of writing a book based on price is not a good idea by any stretch.

Start by doing some research in a market you want to be in. But don't forget, the market you choose must be passionate and have a desperate problem they want solved.

I just paid $14 for a 3-page ebook. lol. It's not about quantity, but quality. You could write a 300-page ebook and it not be worth a dollar.

      Very easy.

i use Google Docs, and then i publish it to PDF.
Then i got a list of about 14 000 potential customers.
      I use Aweber and Kajabi.

There isn't a logical correlation between the lenght and the price. I've seen 200 page courses sold for $197 and 20 page ebooks sold for $1.99.

However, there is a thing of perceived expectations. Why do most people use 12 DVDs when shipping a course instead of compressing everything on a single one? It's not like they need all that space.

Or why a 12 CD course is actually a 12 CD course when even at 320kb it would handle on a single CD?

More seems better. More seems more valuable. A big course with tens of bonuses and a huge course seems a lot valuable than a five page book.

It shouldn't be this way though, but it is.

If the information in that five page book helps you get results, than that's all you need. But from my own experiences in publishing, ghostwriting and copywriting, more generally is seen as better.

As far as the book itself ...

Ask yourself what are the top 5 - 10 - 20 problems in a certain niche then find answers. Every chapter should deal with a problem.

    Good luck,
    Razvan

This is true of course, but it really still depends on what you are selling and who you are trying to sell it to.

Case in point, there was/is a $1 report in the WSO section, it was only one and a half pages but it could easily make you/me/us several hundred dollars just by making a few calls or sending a few emails.

It was a simple idea, but it worked. I think the seller was using it to build his list, but it was easily worth $27 to anyone who took the trouble to act on it.

The recipient may have been initially disappointed by the very short report, but if they actually put the method into practice, they could have made money within hours and perhaps been making a full time income in a couple of months.

Heck...how long is a piece of string? Just do your research, make sure the quality is good, find some partners and maybe sell the info for a lot more than $30. The key is "YOU" and what you put into it.

Collect as many question as you can from internet. Ask questions from your friend. First gathered lots of questions and then answer it and within 7 days it will be an excellent e-Book.
But i will suggest you to take research before writing it. A good quality book will help you to make huge profit as people like to share the best thing over the social net works.

      Thanks.

I have a rule of thumb - one penny per page. Here is what that means. OK so if I am selling a 99 cent e-book on amazon... then it should have approx 100 pages. This does not count images. What I am talking about is text used for body copy. There are 450 words in each page. Well, your e-book should then have 45,000 words or more. Make sure that you have another person (with a college degree) proofread your pages. Most of us are terrible about catching our own grammar errors. Best of luck to you.

When talking about length, pages don't matter much anyway. Words do (when it comes to length, not quality).

I've seen ebooks that were 50 to 75 pages but probably contained the same number of words as one that's half the pages. Will you single space or double space? Will you use a lot of pictures and graphs? Will you have a sizable footer, intro, conclusion, etc.?

Some ebooks have around 250 words per page and some have 450. Perhaps you may want to keep that in mind as well as the potency of your content.

"Size doesn't matter", or so Ive heard! On a serious note, the length of the eBook makes no difference. I hear people talk about the "thud factor". But if the eBook is a 100 page piece of junk you won't get happy customers. Just focus on delivering exactly what you promised and everyone will be happy.

    All the best my friend.

Provide more value than what the price suggests. If you can get your audience to believe that then you will make sales. Your ebook also needs to be targeted to your audience.

I am not sure there is any scientific way of determining the value based on the number of pages. It is all about the value it delivers to the person who buys it. Have you ever wondered what the other guy saw in an old painting to pay huge money? It is kind of like that. For him it was valuable and for you maybe not. So I guess you need to focus on your topic and make it address a problem that people are looking for a solution to. The more value your eBook delivers to the buyers the more desirable it becomes. And if it is a popular niche and you deliver serious value, you can always count on backend sale.

      Good Luck!

I publish books myself on Amazon. If that's also your intention , forget the $29,95 price tag. Whatever your topic, whatever the number of pages/words, it will NEVER sell through the traditional platforms (Amazon, iBooks, B&N) for that price.

But... there are other ways to sell your book. For example through affiliates on Clickbank. But you cannot do both, as I explain in my latest book. Now if you decide to sell your book for 29,95$ on Clickbank, set aside at least $20 if you want to find some affiliates interested.

Or was your idea to sell it somewhere for $29,95 and keep it all? If yes, I would be interested to know more about your business plan.

    Keep writing!

Architecture books are expensive. My books explain the secrets to get success in Architecture School as a architecture teacher. This a very important information and i never see a book like that. i got 10 000 lists, so i think selling the book 49,90 dollars. 29,90 seems too cheap.

Are we talking BOOKS or EBOOKS here? I think the OP was talking about Ebooks. These are two COMPLETELY different things. Also, it depends what your financial objective is with he (E)book. If you just want to publish a book, because you have some interesting material or an interesting story, and you publish it to sell one copy a month, there is nothing wrong with that. But I consider that 'a hobby'. Not a business.

If you write books to make money from it, then trying to sell Ebooks for 29,90 (or more) is a sure way for failure.

Just as an experiment, I published one of my books as paperback (through createspace). Result: On every hardcopy I sell, I sell 100 Ebooks.

Fortunately, selling your hardcopy through createspace doesn't cost you anything (took me about an hour to get it up).

I agree with all the comments stating that it is 'definitely quality over quantity'!

Here's a tip for you - go onto forums that are related to your niche and see what common questions they are asking. If you answer these questions in your ebook, then you are solving the common problems of the market, and this will cause your ebook to have a high demand!

    Hope this helps!

I totally agree with some of the posts here. Having a one or two-pages ebook with outstanding quality and information is better than having those junk lengthy ones. Just be sure to research on your topic well and give your customers what they really want.
