How do I link my oto to my squeeze page properly?

I have an affiliate offer as my oto and the person is redirected to the sales page automatically after they opt in on my squeeze. My question is - as the person who opted in is expecting a free report, will they get annoyed at seeing a salespage straight after they sign up and not the free report first? (obviously I will be sending the report to their email address after).

As the oto is an affiliate offer I have no way of editing the salespage and letting them know their free report is on its way. Is there any software that will redirect to a little info page first for a few seconds, then redirect to the salespage?

I just don't want to get off to a bad start with my subscribers and create a bad impression.

    You can make a page that they are first redirected to that says the free report is being emailed to them. Then in the header info on that page have it redirected to your affiilate page,
    Put the following in the head section of your webpage
    <meta http-equiv="refresh" content="10;URL=http://www.YourAffiliateURL.com">

    this way they will see the page for 10 seconds then will be forwarded to affiliate page after

    A squeeze page redirect is a good idea. Are you using wordpress?

    I'm about to test something else which is sending the leads directly to the thank you page and have advertizing such as "recommended ressources" for my affiliate offers.

    Even better is to use a redirect script on a page, you can download for free here with turorial how to use it: Download free redirect script

    Using this you can redirect your subscriber to your offer without annying them by saying something like: "Your free report has been sent to your inbox, while you wait please check out theis offer" or something like that
