Finding great bonuses to give away along with your product.

I'm creating a website to sell a product of mine (a book on how to be a successful seller on Zazzle) and I'd like to have a few bonuses to give away with the purchase of my product as an incentive to buy it.

Where are some good places to get free bonuses that are also public domain?

Thanks in advance and any and all feedback is much appreciated.

    Moneyman,

If you can create a book, you can also create bonuses to go along with the book. The reason I say that is to emphasize that, in my opinion, bonuses are most valuable when they directly add value to the main offer.

The bonuses don't need to be long or too complicated - they just need to be information that isn't in the book but that would be valuable for aspiring Zazzle sellers. I would think of 3 or 4 bonus reports that could go hand-in-hand with your book, for instance,
    • How to effectively advertise your Zazzle store on Facebook
    • How to keep your Zazzle customers coming back again and again
    • How to enhance your Zazzle web site
    • How to price your Zazzle products for greater profit
If you cover these topics in your book, find other topics that aren't covered and simply write a few pages on each.

It's my opinion that too often marketers don't add value with their bonuses - it seems like they just randomly throw in a few PLR reports or other generic fluff material that, to the customer, seems like an afterthought.

Another great, but different kind of bonus, would be a coupon for "25% off on your next purchase from our store." Make the coupon good for 30 or 60 days. It may trigger a visit and a sale that you otherwise might not realize.

There are other ways to give bonuses - just make certain they will add value to the main product or in some way boost your sales. I'm not sure you can do that with public domain material unless it "fits" the product in some way.

    Good luck to you,

    Steve

Something good you could do is create a free report which is basically a case study about succesful selling on zazzle. People love to see results, and if you give away a free report on how succesful you can be as a zazzle seller, then that will immediately increase your conversions on your ebook on how to do it.

    A few ideas for bonuses:
    • Video walk-through- use a free/cheap program like Screencast-o-matic if you've not got screen capture software
    • Ideas list - precisely what to sell based on their Hottest Products categories; what to put on the products
    • Where to source free/cheap royalty free images for the product
    • Case study of a successful seller
    • Interview with a successful seller
    • Critique
    • Skype call with you (don't worry, most buyers won't take this up)
Or the old standby from a gazillion "how to" ebooks: split out some of the chapters and turn them into a bonus instead of being part of the main product.

You put in the work to create the book. Why get lazy now?

You've had some excellent suggestions above. Here are a couple more...

How about a spreadsheet for recording sales and the events around them so people can test and track which listings are working and which ones are not?

Or perhaps a list of items which are deductible for this kind of business, which most people wouldn't think of? For example, I once deducted an iPod because I used it both for listening to audio trainings and for background music in my office. Someone else I know deducted a bookshelf stereo system and a subscription to satellite radio for the same reason. I'm sure there are similar items for a creative business like this.

By creating a book on how to be successful on Zazzle, you are positioning yourself as an expert on doing so. I suggest you start acting like one...

    Create your own man.

I have like a list of 50+ bonuses (that are actually quite awesome) that I use to promote any particular affiliate product I promote.

    My advice?

Work on creating an awesome inventory of bonuses that you can give away to help promote anything.

Totally a wise idea if you're an affiliate / email marketer.

Bonuses I see marketers adding to products I buy that look easy to create are mindmaps and cheatsheets/step by step layouts.

I rarely ever use mindmaps, but I do like cheatsheets.

My strategies for bonuses is quite SIMPLE.

i make the product and i split it into 3 parts.

    Part1. Main product
    Part 2. Bonus 1
    Part 3. Bonus 2

With this strategy Bonuses become essential and relative to the main product.

You can create your free give way report by outsourcing through Elance. Or You can create your free report by using private label rights or PLR content.

these are all my two preferred way to create a free report in any niche even i don`t know any thing about.

Create a bonus report that will show people the benefits that they can get from Zazzle. Something that will motivate them and inspire them to buy your actual book.
