WP Forum Plugin

Warriors,

Does anyone know of a way to get 'WP Forum' to work with Word Press Version 2.8? Or, does anyone use a different plugin to put a forum up in wordpress?

      Have you tried to contact the plugin author?

      Sometimes plugin authors take their time updating their plugins and because they are creating stuff for free they are under no obligation to continue supporting their work.

      Martin, WordPress, WordPress plugins, and WordPress themes fall under the GNU public licenses
      It is prefectly ok to update or improve an existing piece of software, provided that the original author gives permission and is credited for his or her original work

    I am asking for a WP plugin to use on my WP site...copywrite?

    The author of wp-forum seems to have disappeared, which I am sure you have discovered.

    I have transitioned to Simple Press plugin ( Simpleress Forum ) which is actually the open source community taking over wp-forum and improving it. It has worked well for me so far. I am using wp2.7.1 as I don't normally update as soon as a new version comes out, so I cannot say how it would work in 2.8.
