Is it possible to import your Gmail contacts into GetResponse?

This may be a silly question, but just wondering if there is an easy method of importing GMAIL email addresses (contacts) from (inbox) into GetResponse?

I appreciate any opinions or instructions. Thanks.

No professional autoresponder service will allow customers to import their own email contacts into a list held there. (Would you yourself want to be a customer of an autoresponder company which allowed other customers to do this?! I certainly wouldn't - just think how open to abuse it would be, and how rapidly the overall delivery rates would decline, if spam complaints materialised).

At the very least, you'll need to prove with an IP trail that they're all people who have opted in to receive emails from you, and even then, before allowing you to send them anything other than a fresh opt-in request, GetResponse will want to test a representative sample of the list themselves (it's a service they offer, to people who want to import lists.)

hmmm....I believe you misunderstood my intention. These are my own contacts. Maybe this is not possible. Most people place their contacts on an excel spread sheet - then import them. I was just wondering if there was an easier way. I'm NOT seeking some BLACKHAT illegal or immoral method nor am I interested in stepping into the DARKSIDE like so many marketers condone and will do ... all for the mighty buck.

      No - not at all.

I'm not suggesting that you would abuse such a facility: I'm simply observing that huge numbers of other people would, if it were allowed, and pointing out that that's why it couldn't possibly be allowed.

Yes, of course ... they would be, if they're in your Gmail contacts list?

There's no "maybe": undoubtedly it's not possible. The reasons are explained above.

Not at professional autoresponder companies like GetResponse, they don't. I suggest you discuss it with them, yourself. They're very friendly and approachable.

Relax - nobody suggested that you might be.

I was simply trying to explain to you why what you want to do wouldn't be allowed. "Email contacts on a spreadsheet" are not the same thing as "IP-trailed, opted-in list-subscribers". And GetResponse's policy is that even in the case of "IP-trailed, opted-in list subscribers", they test a sample of the list themselves before allowing you to import it. That's directly, causally correlated with why their delivery-rates are so high.
