I'm familiar with some of you saying PPC ads, selling facebook likes, etc. I actually have my own website - I make around $500 a month selling products, but I am seeking more interesting ways.

try to create a process or a product where you don't need to sell your time for money.. you can make good money no doubt doing that but it is less scalable and will almost never get you in the big league.

FOCUS on products for teenagers. use story telling.

I started off writing as a freelancer when I was 16 years old. I'm 18 now as well. My main sources of income are clickbank, adsense, and amazon (but I don't really get that much from amazon unfortunately). Starting off as a writer might be a good way to start because then you can generate some quick and easy revenue that is instant and guaranteed unlike if you set up a website that might take months to even start seeing some traffic and sales. That is what I did. It was much less of a risk for me as a 16 year old trying to make money online.

I actually started off writing for literally pennies until I realized my worth and started charging way more per word. But after I started getting some money in my bank, I started to venture off into internet marketing more once I discovered this website. It took me about 2 years to actually even get off my lazy butt to even put some of the methods of internet marketing to action. I liked writing though because I was actually receiving money. With internet marketing, as a beginner, sometimes its hard because back then I didn't really know what I was doing, so I set up websites that were ultimately a failure and I gave up on them. Eventually I started off simple and created a blog that I STUCK with and I monetized with adsense and then later with clickbank and some amazon links as well. With all the accessibilty that wordpress has to offer and the themes out there, It's pretty easy to create a very nice looking website with little to no technical experience.

What makes you think that being 18 will make a difference in terms of how you can make money?

I think you should start with what you like doing or work on what you're passionate about. You can find ways to make money out of anything as long as you have passion for what you do.

As Per my experience, i don't think age has anything to do when it comes to earning money online. Here someone of 18 and other is of 68 are alike.

The only thing here can make you money is attitude, if you are ready with your positive outlook for your business and genuinely willing give value to someone else, you will make money. And grand success will depend upon, how many people are getting benefit from your given value.

Affiliate marketing may be one of the best ways to start. You can do it for free or for very little investment and it gives you the chance to get your feet wet.

Why don't you try online money making sites such as Freelancer, Odesk, Fiverr (but you need some skills).
And you can sell products through ebay, amazon.
You can do affiliate marketing such as click bank, commission junction, hostgator, godaddy, namecheap
You can sell paid reviews for customers (article writing)
You can post sponsored articles on other blogs (You take an article from a fellow who is willing to send his article with money and then you contact a blog who is publishing article on their blog. And ask him to publish the article by keeping some commission.

These methods are more than enough for a person to earn money.

Well I'm 18 so I'll just answer your question based on the limited experience that I have Product creation and affiliate marketing. You don't really need much technical skills to make money online. It's a learn as you go process, I'd advice against spending months "sitting down" and learning technical stuff and then getting started.

If you've got strong conceptual skills you can just outsource and put the pieces of the puzzle together. Having said that I reaaaallyy suggest you get a mentor, saves a ton of time and money. If money is scarce, then offer your services according to your skill set, and then slowly divorce your income stream from time

FIVERR is easy. It does not cost any money. All you have to do is join up. Remember that $3.92 is all you get in pay pal for a gig. Try to find market segments with little competition and mega demand, like videos for promos. Hope you like being an actor, video is king now.

Targeted email list is very useful and easy way to make money. So build a targeted email list.
Email Marketing is the best way and effective method of affiliate marketing.

Have a think about what you like doing best and what you can add value to others on (there is always something). Find out where those guys hang out. provide free helpful info. Build a list and give value. Then create your own product that will help them or refer them to other products that you believe in.

I started off writing articles for clients I got from oDesk. It's pretty easy to get started... but it's also easy to get into the rhythm of low-paying jobs.

My advice? Write low-paying articles until you get some samples, then gradually start introducing yourself to the higher-paying clients.

YouTube is a great way for an 18 year old to make some money online. You can actually sell something on Youtube or you can just offer entertainment, and once you reach a specific amount of subscribers, Youtube will give you an option to become a partner. You will then be able to monetize your videos with ads.

Look into providing services at first:

Like link building, article writing, etc. This will teach you the basics to go for even bigger projects, and profits.

Monetize your skill set.

You can make a sales thread for as little as $20.

Age does not matter. If you have skill, you can earn a handsome amount of money. on the flip side if you have not enough skill, you will not be able to earn money. Here Skill is the measurement of earning.

One of the most important things you can do is to forget the age thing. The internet is a level playing field...for now. No one cares about your age. Just the quality of what you can do. Get age out of it. Start having ideas and executing them!

If they have Social Networking skill, Artistic skills (by way of drawing, painting, graphical design, musical, great voice for voice-over work) and even writing skills there is money to be made there.

Granted, it is a high price of a $1 to their bank account but volume is decent money.
