Do video hosting scripts interest anybody?

I was looking for a little side project earlier in the year and at the time it seemed like the rage were the sites such as Putlocker and Novamov so I created my own version of this video hosting/sharing type of site.

I built the whole user platform, affiliate system, ad network and integrated all the latest video technologies and the end result was a pretty good all round script. I didn't do anything with it, I didn't plan to in the first place and ended up completely forgetting that I had made it until recently when I stumbled on it again and started asking myself if there was a market for this sort of script? Hence this thread.

So yeah, that's my question. If I were to make it more admin friendly - i.e. add options to put your own ads in place, edit the CSS, that sort of stuff - are there people out there that are interested in this sort of script?

    Why would people want to use your service when they have youtube? Unless it's your idea to let people share and view copyrghted content. That's what I think when I see putlocker and noramov

      Fair point. Although it would be more relevant to the webmasters who would use the script rather than as an answer to my question. You've basically just reiterated the reason I'm asking the question haha. Would people find a use for the script is pretty much what I'm getting at.

    If your script allows people to upload their own videos and host them, or import them from YouTube etc, then yes, there is a market for this.

    These type of scripts are useful for example to those in specialized niches (dog training, UFO's, Needlepointing, whatever...) who want to setup their own video hosting site and send traffic there to keep visitors engaged on their own site, as opposed to sending traffic to a YouTube channel.

    I've seen a few WSO's promoting video related website scripts and they appeared to do well.

    AH, apologies I misunderstood the thread, I'd say you have something that there will be demand for, but is it ethical and will it be used for good?, I am not so sure.
