Best hotel affiliate? Seeking conversion tips, examples

I have a niche site for a trade show that ranks well on Google.
I have a guide to choosing a hotel and it gets decent traffic.
I now want to add some affiliate links (or boxes) for site visitors to search and book their hotel room.

1. Which are the best hotel affiliate networks, that have reliable and decent commissions? I'm also looking for an affiliate that leads to good conversions.
For example, a no name affiliate may have good payout, but a visitor is probably less likely to click to search for hotels and book,
I would assume that Priceline and Expedia are probably best for conversions, since the best name recognition with consumers.

2. It would be helpful to hear about other strategies and tips to help improve conversions for searching and booking a hotel room on travel pages.

3. I'm also looking for examples of good travel pages with hotel search/booking links/boxes that demonstrate best practices for conversion.

    But to sum it up, I've used hotelscombined affiliate program and it's pretty decent.

    Others have come up on the scene these days that I have heard are good but I am not too familiar with all of them. I heard someone saying they were happy using agoda's affiliate program, as well.
