No money for joining a coaching program

Hey guys,

I know an expert named Terry Dean.

He has many good coaching programs.

I really want to join.

I just don't have money.

For you guys, especially the expert or coach in something, if someone does not have money to join you program but they can do something else for you, will you accept.

You know, like things you want to be done and they can do it for you for free.

Can it work?

If you can write well, I'd suggest just offering some article writing services for a couple weeks. That way you can make some money to actually afford the coaching program.

Yeah don't try to get in with doing something for him because that's not how it works. He is selling his coaching to make money. Come up with a way how you can earn the money this way you'll also take his coaching more serious because it wasn't easy for you to attend it.

      Marco you read my mind.

This people are offering a coaching course to make money and the service you want to offer them, they may have had those covered too. So your best bet is to find something that could make you some quick money and then enroll for the coaching course if you still want to.

You can offer some services on fiverr to get some little cash coming in and then enroll of the coaching course cause no one would enroll you for free.

      Hope that helps

Are you on his mailing list? He's one of the guys that add a lot of value to his emails versus pitch after pitch only.

If you are, are you following the advice he's given for free? There is a lot that can be accomplished just following his free information.

Joining the coaching program won't be magic because you still have to act and get things done. You still have to read and listen and follow through. So start now with his free stuff and through that process you may can earn the money and experience you'll need to succeed with his coaching program.

Good idea, start with the valuable free content. If you are not making money with that, ask yourself why?
When you have made some money, then invest in further education.

No it cannot work. IM is not a charity and no easier than the off line world.

IM is a tough business and you need to invest - to - learn - to - progress. It can take several years and your patience is vital.

There is more than enough information on this forum from which you can learn to create some income... then you can invest in coaching.

Bartering is a toughie in this day and age

You likely do have the money but don't want to part with it, or don't want to give up something, to save yourself money

Cancel a few luxury bills, like cable, or the gym, or, get rid of something else to save money, or get a part time job, or do whatever it takes - in a good way to get the money to start. Or creatively offer some product or service which'll be irresistible All the best!

This above and also if you have some skills like in writing you can always go to iwriter.com or odesk.com or elance.com to get some work to save money from it. Same goes with designing.

To answer your question there might be some coaches out there who will take you up on that. It really depends on what skills you have to offer them. Chances are good most probably won't accept, but there might be a few that will assuming you have the skills that they are looking for. You never know until you ask.

Coaches usually want cash upfront. What I would do is use the search feature at the top of the forum. You can find out a lot of information for free here. That is what I did for years until I was able to afford things like coaching and the war room.

I am actually in a similar situation. I just recently sank over 10 grand into my new business just to create the products. Problem is, I need a sales page for one of those product and a good one will probably run me about 2 grand...money I absolutely don't have. I'm already living on about 10 bucks a week. So even if I stopped living, it would take me 4 years to save up the 2 grand. I'm trying to make money elsewhere in the meantime but it's not happening and getting a job outside the house is not an option because of health issues. So I'm pretty much screwed. I don't expect a top or even "good" copywriter to do me any favors. We live in a very ruthless world. That's the reality. It's one you need to come to grips with. The chances of you getting coaching in exchange for some kind of bartering are slim to none.

As for myself, as much as I don't want to do it, I just may have to write the sales letter myself. It's not like I've never done one before but this time I really don't want to trust the success of this product to my maybe better than average copywriting skills. Not when I have everything on the line with this business.

So somehow, short of robbing a bank, I have to come up with the funds. I haven't got a freaking clue how. But somehow I have to do it.

You will need to do the same if you want your coaching.

      Seems unfair?

Nobody ever said life was fair.

There are many coaching programs out there. You just need to find decent ones who know what they are doing. If you are desperate to get to work with Terry Dean, just start making money online doing small things on Fiverr, iWriter, Amazon Kindle writing and promoting affiliate products. Just try and make as much money as you can so that you'll have enough.

Leave it.... It looks strange to say the least. So don't touch it. Last posts from 2010? Are you kidding me?

To answer your question. I would get you on a board if in need for some particular service or skills. But to be honest... 99% of those coaching programs are BS, so be careful.

Just take a look at the website... Read his copy... Probably you don't want guys like that to teach you anything. I have spent some good money on "coaching programs" and you are rarely getting ROI you are looking for.

That's why think about a way you would like to be doing money online (SEO, aff marketing, social etc.) and just start doing it (read and practice).

P.S There are some legit coaching programs, but those are rarely advertised to the wide public, and surely not for everyone.

If you don't have hundreds (or thousands) of dollars to pay for a coaching program, pick a niche, and find 1 or 2 WSOs having the best testimonials. If there's evidence that you can make money by using the WSO, you can purchase it.

Another good move is to join a low cost membership site (I recommend Robert Mangan's "The Solo Academy"), where you can learn more than from one (or more) WSO.

You never know when somebody will take you up on an offer like that, but from my experience, I've never seen it happen. People value what they pay for and coaches/consultants know this.

Have you asked if he'll take payments?

You don't have to pay for coaching. Learn by doing. With all of the information available on the internet these days, you really don't need to pay money for coaching services. If you have questions, just ask here or other forums. There are plenty of people who are happy to give info out for free.

A couple of things to think about...

      1. While learning by doing works, it helps to have somebody guide you in the right direction. There is no reason to reinvent the wheel if you don't have to.

      2. Sure, forums are free, but there is also a lot of incorrect information to weed through.

If budget is an issue, I'd start with books. That will at least give you some kind of solid reference point when going to other low-cost and free resources.

      Hope this helps!

Get some leverage, then you have something to offer.

A few things that a guru might need...

    Help desk support
Technical help (setting up sites, etc...)
    Copywriting
    Graphics
    Etc...

Get great at something. Then you have leverage to go to people with.

    btw, the "best" leverage?

    A responsive email list!

The real question you may want to ask yourself is this:

"Why would any coach significantly invest in you (multiple thousands of dollars), when you're not positioned to significantly contribute to the relationship?"

Iron sharpens iron. Be valuable. Be relevant. Be resourceful.

Then bring something to the table.

Don't ask him to think of ways for you to be of service to him. Just DO something volutarily to be of service to him...with no expectation of return.

He may give you what you want...and he may not. What he does is completely irrelevant to you establishing your own independent value in the marketplace.

    That's your payoff.

If you want to expedite your success, the best thing you can do is invest in the right coach because, more than likely, you have no valid context for what it really takes to get what you say you want.

You don't know what you don't know.

Small hinges move big doors so you could be taking 99% of the right actions; however, that missing 1% could be the "small hinges" that are holding you back from success.

A good coach can shine a light on that 1% faster than you can watch another video sales letter.

Yes. There are plenty of people willing to give "information" for free.

    However...

A good coach is not going to just give you "information."

A good coach is going to guide your application of the information so you don't waste your time ie your money.

A good coach is going to hold you accountable...and more important, is going to be accountable - not responsible...but accountable for setting you up for success.

A good coach lifts the confusion, overwhelm and "noise" that keeps you stuck.

Keeping the above in mind, I'm sure you can see how "free" can be incredibly expensive...and investing in good coaching can be, when all is said and done...free.

    Just my two cents.

    Rainee

P.S. The reason I don't accept the kind of offer you propose for my coaching program is because I only take on a handful of clients at a time. So I only work with people who invest significantly in themselves because that's a serious indicator that they are just as committed as I am to their success.

    I don't believe you.

Anyone who REALLY wants to do something will make it happen.

There is ALWAYS a way. It just depends how much you really want it.

No one is going to think you are very serious about their coaching program if you don't even have the initiative to get out there and beg, borrow, or steal the money needed. Ok, maybe not steal but you get the point.

if you haven't put your balls on the line then you'll never take the coaching seriously enough anyway.
