Where other than youtube do people go to watch videos? I am going to be using videos a lot and want the best possible way to get them out there.

I just know of YouTube and Vimeo. Best possible way is probably YouTube, since almost everyone knows about it.

I addition to the largest video directories listed above, post videos to the major social sites. Facebook is now the second largest video viewing site after Youtube. Social sites can give your Youtube videos more oranic views, which probably increases your search rankings for your videos in both Youtube and Google.

Social sites let you build audiences through friends and followers etc.

I suggest:
Facebook
Twitter
Tumbler
Pinterest
Google+

And while maybe not considered a "social" site, Yahoo Answers.

In the meantime, take a day or two for each social site and learn the foundation marketing practices for each site to create built-in audiences.

Besides those video sharing sites, I think you should have a strategy on how to get your videos ranked on those video sharing sites, it is very important else your videos will flood in sea. You could also share the video links in your blogs ,articles as well as the forums.

Actually, there are many video directories but I would prefer those directories where we can add live url of your site (clickable) inside the video description box.

I assume you are doing video promotion and marketing, right?

Hey man! Ya metacafe and Vimeo are main ones that people use, you can also go on various forums and sites like reddit to post a lot of them too! Youtube is obviously the biggest in terms of getting views, but you could also use big social media places like Facebook and Twitter to gain a big following and get people to check your video out that are following you/liking you! Keep at it bud you'll figure it out

I recommend you go to KnowEm Username Search: Social Media, Domains and Trademarks to get a list of all of the video social media sites and set up your profiles on each. you can build your brand and help your videos go viral much faster.
