Amazon Associates Program help

Hi

I'm confused, thus I am asking Amazon affiliates in the game...

*** Is a web site owner/blogger allowed to sample (aka copy-paste) an Amazon customer review (in part or whole) on his site?

NOTE: article 28 from the Associates Program Participation Requirements states...

"You will not display or otherwise use any of our customer reviews or star ratings, in part or in whole, on your site unless you have obtained a link to that customer review or star rating through the Product Advertising API and you comply with the requirements set forth in the License Agreement"

I guess I'll give them a call, in the meantime, please share your thoughts...

Thank you.

  • you answered your own question, the only way you can use their reviews is through a link from their api

the link returns an iframe containing reviews

how would you think copy/paste would be allowed when is explicitly lists only one way to use their reviews?

You probably did not understand what the api was or how to use it. Research that. I have purchased
a wordpress plug in before that helps make amazon review sites and that kind of thing was included... I could
then switch it on or off.

I do not understand why you are asking, you put the answer in your post.

You can link to them, but you can not post them

The way to get round this is not to quote the review but mention something like 'This reviewer from Texas had a great use for product X that I never would of thought of, click here to read what he has to say'

What Stevie said. But just make sure that you make these reviews completely unique.
