I need suggestions for my brother.

My brother is an excellent writer with perfect grammar and vocabulary. As soon as he was out of university I suggested him oDesk where he took some ghost writing projects.

However, I feel that he is not getting the recognition he needs and the money he deserves for the time and efforts he put into writing.

It would be great to get some ideas from the warriors here on what I can suggest my brother to do?

I suggested him to setup a site but he's not good with seo so not getting much hits ?

    Does he have any sales experience? The key to affiliate marketing is good content so he may be good at that. It doesn't take more than a day to get used to wordpress for website building.

    Odesk is not the only place to market his skills. He can join this forum and run an ad. Also try elance and freelancer. He should get his own site for credibility. If he doesn't know how to build a site, he can pay someone to do it for him. It doesn't need to be a flashy site but it's a base of operations.

      When you are good on something, you should invest on it. The thing is, you are earning from it while you are enjoying what you are doing.

      Laurence is right. He can get someone to build a website for him, someone you guys might know? You wont know unless you try it.

        Fair enough but unless you are top tier, article writing is not going to pay the bills.
        Also why bother getting an expensive Uni degree if you're not even going to try and pursue work in your field? Unless the part about a Uni degree is a lie....

    I heard a good site for writer like him check problogger. I been to oDesk for 4 years and noticed that client pays cheap amount for freelance writer, same with elance. But you can try PeopleperHour too.

    He could join here and put a listing in Warriors for Hire. Don't compete with the assmonkeys who charge peanuts for writing. Compete on quality. He could also write up article packs on popular subjects and run a WSO selling them as PLR. plrminimart.com is an example of the type of topics that are popular as PLR. Might want to try some gigs on Elance, although I've heard the writers on freelancing sites complaining about clients that don't pay much for writing.
