Place banner ads relevant to the site traffic. for instance on warriorforum, It will be wise to place a banner ad relating internet marketing. and you will have good conversions.

        Example seo tools.

Are there any tools to understand if a visitor click on hompage banner or on page banner?

While not place it all three places then see which
one converts well or have higher Click Through Rate (CTR).
Then you can have a clear picture where to focus more.

It really depends what you want to sell. But if you are looking for direct click conversions from banner ads, I would suggest somewhere on the sidebar.

People go to your website not because they want to click on banners but they want something valuable from you (maybe a post topic).

So rather than having a banner ad, try writing an article about the product and put a text link. (Text links convert a lot better than banner ads).

Also if you have an email list, I do not suggest putting advertising banners inside a newsletter.
Newsletters are supposed to give more value to your subscribers. Not flooding them with offers, where most of them will unsubscribe.

I would say that the best way to find out would be to test it. Put a banner on all three pages and make sure you track everything and see where you get the best conversions.

In a nutshell free blogs from and being free hosted by wordpress.COM cannot be used to drive traffic to third-party sites by means of advertising and/or affiliate programs (see "Affiliate marketing blogs below for more clarity").

No blogger initiated advertising, retailing or reselling the work created or services provided by anyone other than yourself is allowed.

The only advertising exceptions are for high traffic blogs that qualify for and are accepted into the Ad Control program, and for extremely high traffic blogs that qualify and are accepted into the paid VIP hosting program. for more visit SenabiSeo |

In my experience banner ads have a very low click through rate you could increase it by putting it directly in the middle of your article. That would probably turn off many readers though. It would be better to try to get subscribers to a list and create pre-sell pages for affiliate programs then push traffic to those pages. You can have banner ads (most people do) but I wouldn't focus on it.

I'd put multiple ones on your blog, near the header, a sidebar skybanner, maybe in the posts etc. test them and see which convert better.

If text link convert better than banner, maybe in the post can be more invasive..

Put banners on the side bar and within posts. You can also advertise your affiliate products in links within your posts, which is extremely effective.
