How do you find blogs?

INTERNET MARKETING

I was thinking of building some friendships with bloggers in my niche. The only problem is I don't know how to find them. I wanted to speak with individuals too so that I could speak on a personal level and not talk with some giant corporation of people with a blog.

So how do I find highly trafficked individual bloggers in my niche?

I've used search engines before: Google, Yahoo, Bing.

It may take a bit of looking through the results and a bit of trial and error in your search terms though.

You can search by typing "your keyword" in any search engine. Here I am telling the top favorite search engine name: google, yahoo, bing. I hope you will get your expected result.

Identify blogs you want to connect with, find them on Twitter and genuinely build a relationship with them as a fan of their work.

  I was giving an answer on "building relationships" as described in the OP. I assumed the poster knows how to use a search engine. I mean he found this niche forum on marketing but can't find a blog relevant to his needs?

Aside from technorati and google's blog search, there is also this type of search from google, which is known as the advanced search operators. By using these operators you will be able to filter your search to the most relevant results.

It seems like a simple question. But like the OP I have trouble finding blogs in my niche.

As far as I can tell, technorati no longer allows you to find blogs.
And the Google blog search doesn't seem to work either.
I've been through various blog directories but often the blogs haven't been updated in months.

One Idea that's worked for me to search Wordpress.com, you can type the following into the browser.
https://wordpress.com/tag/*yourniche*/
I think twitter might be a good option too.

  Use these operators to help:
  
  Once you've found popular blogs in your niche, check their blogrolls for more referrals.
  
  Also, use Open Site Explorer to find out which blogs are linking to your favorite blogs.

You know the old saying: Uncle Google knows everything? Use it, research what blogs are out there, check their comments, usually you will see some comments to check their blog also and mostly it will be in the same niche.

I would start with blog directories. And then follow it up with some Google searches. Hangout in forums in your niche and get to know people. Network with others and ask them if they know where you can find similar blogs in your niche. Questions like this requires a bit of searching. You'll find something though. How many blogs were you looking to find? Just be aware that not all blogs that you find may be satisfactory for you.
