If you want to STAY succesful - This is THE one thing you should keep in mind:

  • KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT.

I know, i know - this is a forum and if all people suddenly stopped posting, this would be a pretty depressing place to say the least.

[crickets]

What i really want to say is: There's nothing wrong with helping people, share some of your tricks, techniques, etc. - BUT DON'T GIVE AWAY THE WHOLE NINE! You'd regret it sooner or later. Let me tell you a story:

Some years ago i had a PERFECT business-plan, and i was all happy and proud. And what do you know, it WORKED! ..I told it to a "buddy" of mine.
I completely spilled the beans and 6 months later i lost 30% of my potential income to him, just because he decided to copy my biz-plan and offer a similar product at lower rates.

Lesson learned.

I feel for you and your situation but surely the nature of the majority of Internet Marketing is such that it doesn't really matter how many people are doing it?

I mean, the www is such a huuuge marketplace...

Obviously if you live in a small town and you open up the only dogwash in town and then your buddy does the same for less - you've got a problem.

But does your dire warning really apply to IM?

It applies to all kinds of serious business. Really, ask any top-marketer.. he'll tell you: Work, be cool, don't tell a f*ing thing.

if you have a really UNIQUE idea, the whole WWW suddenly becomes VERY small.

      • And this is while we'll never see an info product that is really, honestly lays out everything a guru knows. No matter what the copy says, it wouldn't be in their best interest to dish everything.

It's kind of sad... I KNOW this and yet, I'm STILL sucked in by well-written, promise-you-everything-including-the-kitchen-sink copy!!

Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy, and good with ketchup.

I kinda see where your coming from.. also you have to be able to trust the people who you tell which is a lesson am guessing you have learnt by all means with IM you still do have to share your ideas with others, to gain their trust then you can go onto selling them other products or services you have
