I want to ask if it is working for you and if you are successful. The truth is there is a lot of junk out here on the forum and I am just looking for real people making real money and have real business online.

            Hi Shan,

Saw this and thought i would reply.

I have built over 50 Clickbank products some successful, some not so much.

One thing i would say to you, that may help.

Clickbank is JUST a payment processor with a HUGE affiliate base. You need to know how to build a product, market it to a niche, and make sales YOURSELF.

Just putting a product on Clickbank and hoping for affiliates to sell it doesn't happen much, although i have had that happen a few times.

            Simple checklist for you:

            1. See what is selling.

            2. Find a niche that interests you.

            3. Find out top problems in the niche.

            4. Answer the problems with as much free content as you can, or the main QUESTIONS.

            5. Have a product that provides a solution.

            6. Become a CRAZY content creator - EVERY DAY.

            7. Split test your page and keep sending targeted traffic.

            8. Once your conversion rate is decent actively recruit affiliates from Google searches for your keywords.

            9. Add lots of affiliate tools.

            10. Add upsells to the product and backend offers.

            11. Focus on CONSTANT improvement.

            12. Keep going!

            13. Keep going!

            14. Keep going!

            Hope this helps,

            All the best,

            Chris Jones

              Thanks Chris.

I already knew your as a clickbank vendor and I also sent you a PM couple days ago hope you reply once you get the chance.

I truely believe that you have to market your own way rather than relying on affiliates but that is not so much of an issue at the moment. My main concern is to find a topic which people will buy or pay for information and then my second issue is to basically create a product around that topic. How can you create a product around a topic you have no knowledge on the subject?

There are many more options available than looking for a topic that you have no knowledge on the subject about (simply because people are paying for the information relating to the topic) and then creating a product around it.

You could for example build a business based on your skills and passions, and make a name for yourself by creating and offering products and services that you actually have knowledge of, passion for, and experience with.
I've been self employed for well over a decade doing just exactly that.

When I see marketers complain about how they "tried this, and that, but nothing works", it's usually because they followed that same dark path that you are inquiring about. Usually lead by the blind who teach courses on how to simply pick any popular selling topic even though you never heard of it, slap together a product, and make money with it.

I agree with this, however I have ventured into niches i knew nothing about and been successful also.

By the time I left the niche however I knew more than most.

I agree to start with your interest, i did too - however if i didn't venture into other niches that i thought would be good i might not got one of these:

All i am saying is that it is NOT a dark path - it is MARKETING.

Make sure you understand how to market to a niche, answer the top questions, add value - of course as Stoling Media Group says this is EASIER to begin with in one of your interests.

If you like the look of a niche, focus on creating a quality product or find someone that has expertise - an example - I have built over 30 products in the gaming niche, the videos and the product is top notch - but i didn't have to play the game - i outsourced it.

The KEY is to understand marketing, content creation, sales copy, split testing, recruiting affiliates, expanding, adding upsells, backend offers etc...

                  Just my 2 pence,

Again, it is easier to start with your interests when starting out.

                  Chris

Of course it's profitable, otherwise people would not be doing it.

Many people are making 6 or 7 figures per Year with their own products - so yes it's very much profitable if you've got a good product, a good angle and sales funnel - and MOST important, affiliates.

What's your real question? I believe Gary Halbert and John Carlton already talked about it from selling info products before the internet. You could hire experts on the cheap too on Elance or even local colleges.
